Torrid — Local services in Tallahassee

I do agree w other Google reviewers, Torrid is way overpriced for cheap fabrics that only last a few washings. I never wear jeans in the South, denim seems to be their main focus. I do not like the fit and flare dresses, it makes you look 2 sizes bigger. The pocket dresses and belt dresses are not complimentary for plus size woman. What happened to the body con dresses and maxis?! It seems the best choices are online but it can take over a week to receive your items. If it doesn't fit, you pay shipping twice. I recently bought bras and panties. The under wear do not feel light weight. I do not think they are cotton like the tag reads. They are itchy and thick even after 3 washings. In the South we need light weight fabrics and dresses to stay cool through out the year. The underwire bras are stitched by the wire which rubs under your breasts. I now get rashes under my breasts. I spent a lot of money on the bras and panties but did not get quality items. When Torrid first opened the fabrics were high quality. Over the past 10 years, Torrids clothing has declined. Fabrics are cheap looking and do not last long after being washed. I rarely buy thier clothing because I am not paying 80.00 on a dress that lasts 2...

I've paid through the nose for years for plus size clothing that were not nearly as attractive or well-fitting as what Torrid offers. I love their sales and deals, of course, but will pay full price if I really want something - because it may not be there tomorrow! The ladies there are the absolute best, and always give you the VIP treatment. Probably one of the most impressive experiences I've had is ordering something online and sending it to the store. They open the shipping package in front of you, make sure it's what you ordered and is in perfect condition, ask if you want to try it on, then pack it tissue paper in one of their cute boutique bags. Other stores just verify my name and hand me the shipping package. That extra attention may not matter to some but it means...

WEDDING DRESSES!!!! I had looked online at their exclusive wedding dresses & I was very impressed. I went in store just to ask a few questions, they had a smaller size in store that someone had returned so I was able to feel the lace fabric. When I had questions on sizing, they found a dress with a similar cut for me to try on to see how it fit. I left to do to a bridal shop to try on there. Came right back to Torrid! My only concern was how the lace sleeves would fit and they again, found a dress for me to try on with lace sleeves so I could see how tight it would be. I received much better service from them than I did at 2 bridal shops in town!! AND I got my dress on sale for under $100!!!! but I would have paid full price in the...
