I always prefer to shop local whenever possible. I believe it is our responsibility to help our neighbors in our community when and where it is appropriate.
We purchased a stove and refrigerator for Appliance Plus on June 10, 2022. The stove was in stock and the refrigerator, an LG brand, had to be ordered. We elected to delay delivery of the stove until both appliances were in stock. We were told the refrigerator was expected within two weeks. That ended up being incorrect as the refrigerator was delivered to the store on Friday, August 12, nine weeks after it was ordered. We decided the week before to have the stove delivered and installed on Wednesday, August 10. The refrigerator was delivered the following Wednesday, August 17.
The delay, based on getting much of anything in our post-Covid world, was not a real issue for us. However, the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. It is apparent to me that this business is strained beyond their capability with customers who desire the products that they sell. This needs to be fixed if they want to continue to stay in business. A simple call, text, or email to provide status updates would do a world of good for their business.
The reason I would buy from them again is due to their installers, Steve and Danny. Two of the best service providers I have had the honor to be around during my short time in this beautiful state! They both were very personable, professional, and wanted us, as their customer, to be happy with our purchase. The refrigerator ended up requiring us to dismantle part of our stairway to accommodate getting it into our kitchen! They NEVER complained and worked very hard to accomplish the task. I pray we NEVER have to get another refrigerator in my lifetime because getting this one out will be another challenge!
