Kohl's — Local services in Tavares

Kohls has been my go-to store for years, but over the past year, the misses/women's section has completely lacked any selection. When I do find something I like, it's usually out of stock. I've never understood the ordering process at these stores because it seems they completely miss the target when ordering women's sizes. There's only a few of the most popular sizes.

I went in the Tavares store the other day hoping to pick up a few things and the men's and women's clothing sections were practically empty. You would almost think with all the open floor space that they were closing down, but, of course, there was a huge selection of toys and Christmas decorations.

I managed to find a sweater that I liked and when checking out, I asked the cashier where all their clothing stock is, and she said that they've been really busy. There's no way they've been THAT busy. The open floor space suggests no stock since there were no empty racks. Made me think that they're stock is stuck somewhere on a container ship or they're trying to push more online shopping. Whatever the case, I had to go across the street to another store to find what I was looking for. If this continues to be the case, I will have to take my business elsewhere because I refuse to be forced to shop online for all...

I absolutely love Kohls, and am in here often. I was actually just in there yesterday! I applied for a Kohls charge card back in October, and was approved. I usually wait until items are on sale or on clearance, and then use the coupons to get an even better deal. For instance, I bought an artificial lemon tree yesterday that was $39.99 originally. It was 50% off, and I had a coupon for 15% off! So, I got it for $18.19 (tax included). This same tree at other stores is $50 and up. Kohls is always running fantastic deals, and because of this, it's one of my favorite stores. I also got 2 flameless candles, one a little bigger than the other. They were originally price at $15.99 and $11.99. I got them BOTH on sale and 15% off for $10.10! The store is also kept very clean. They have an employee that stands at the front of the store with a table that has hand sanitizer, and masks. The cashiers sanitize their areas after each customer. And mostly all employees are friendly and helpful! If you're looking for a gift for someone else, there are a lot of options here. Do not do choose to “pick up order” for this store. I am absolutely pissed at the self service for my pick up order. Someone is stealing peoples things! I was told “oh we’ve had this happening alot!” Then why not move the items to the service desk and have people check in, so people are actually getting their orders. Show some freaking initiative to protect customers things. I don’t understand how they have no suspicion of theft seeing that this has been happening frequently to other customers too. I ordered a pair of shoes I needed for an event and I received an email that it was ready for pickup and my order wasn’t there! All they could offer was a sorry and refund.
