Macy's — Local services in Taylor

I came across an old gift card for $200.00, I called yesterday to verify it was still good and was told the amount was still on it. I was told to feel free to go to the store and use it, That I would not have a problem. I get to the store and spend some time shopping then go to check out only to have an issue arise. Cashier had to call the 800 number to verify, okay fine since I already called yesterday to verify myself. Altogether I spent 4 hours in that store trying to check out with the cashier, manager and the store Supervisor who all was able to verify the card is valid with $200.00. Ten or more calls placed because they kept hanging up on the store employees, each call was told something different and was told there is nothing can do for what they person before told them. My initial call yesterday I was told everything looks good go use it, the stores initial call was told the same then disconnected. The stores continued calls resulted in being told there is a hold on the card for one-week, phone disconnected, next call resulted in a 24 hour hold phone disconnected, then several more calls resulted in disconnection with a 10 to 15 minutes hold time each call back. Final call resulted with a response of 30-day hold, give us your email so we can send you paperwork to fill out and we will let you know if we will release the hold. I CAN SHOW PROOF OF PURCHASE WITH A RECEPT SO WHY IS THERE A HOLD ON THE CARD IN THE FIRST PLACE. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THAT EMAIL EITHER. NEVER BUY GIFT CARDS FROM...

We went in without any anticipation on spending any money, just wanted to smell some perfumes and colognes to get an idea of what we liked before buying them online -big online shoppers (I know bad for local business). Ryan helped us and he was increadable. His customer service was on par. He was very knowledgable about the different perfumes and colognes. We ended up going around 3 different settings smelling countless perfumes/colognes and both my guest and Ryan made quick friends over all of the recommendations he made and all of the good tips and suggestions he gave. He was honest. He did not push the higher priced but rather the better quality. The whole experience was a gift in itself and I would highly recommend seeing him..but bring your wallet -or don't because we left with a cut off of 4 different bottles/packages and lots of extra samples as a gift..and a list of other perfumes/colognes we both wanted next time! Thank you Ryan! Update: Second visit, Ryan was there again. I knew exactly what I wanted from last time a year ago. He is so passionate, helpful, friendly and just worth going to the store for perfume. I bought a couple of great scents he showed me last year and he added something extra with one of my favorite scents. Pictures...

The store itself is not elder friendly. There is no place to sit a moment and catch your breath and rest your bad back. We have money to spend but can't do it at Macy's and many other stores because there are no accommodations for the old or infirm, which is just a chair here or there around the store. I almost had to sit on one of their display tables. I found men's shoes (rested) then had to go to women's shoes for men's sneakers. Who would have thought. Thank God they must have chairs in a shoe department. The associates were wonderful. I bought 3 pairs of shoes. Wanted to look around more but no place to take a break while looking so I headed straight for my car. In this era of inclusion, would you please remember to include us.
