My wife went into Walgreens today to pick up a few items. When she was checking out the bill total was $16.36. She started to hand the cashier a $20.00 bill and stated to hold up that she would give her the $.36 so she could get $4.00 back. The cashier took the money but only gave my wife $3.64 back. My wife explained that she gave her the change but the cashier said "no ma'am, you were suppose to get $3.64 back." I explained that she had been given $20.36 and if you subtract $16.36 from that it equals $4.00. The young lady looked confused so I suggested she contact the manager on duty. When the manager came up front the cashier told her that she had entered the wrong amount for the purchase. After explaining the amount given to the cashier for the purchase the manager gave my wife four one dollar bills one at a time by jerking them like they were sticking together. Neither apologized to my wife. I kind of felt sorry for the cashier because she seems to be a victim of the new math being taught. However, I expected better from the manager on duty who was very rude in the way she gave my wife her money back and who should have set a better example for her employees by apologizing to the customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely useless printing services. Paid $36 per sign for lawn signs which were supposed to be same day printing. Nobody in the store had been trained on how to do their job, so they werent able to complete the order that day. The next day, the manager came in to do the signs. They were the chinsiest non weatherproof signs, and were wrinkly and not glued on evenly. The store manager, as most people employed by these large corportations that offer no incentives towards having useful employees or even seems to employ any form of job training strategy, was unhappy with any complaint towards a lack of fullfillment for a very expensive service. Same thing you see everywhere. Large corporations are useless. Note to self, and note to anyone considering using walgreens printing services, GO TO A LOCAL PRINTING COMPANY. Support someone who spends all their time printing because they decided they could make high quality prints and earn a decent living off of it. Dont give all of your money to a big disgusting company that could care less about quality or creating an environment that nurtures employees that can be capable of caring about their job and have the materials and training to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible service, "same day print" is a joke. Multiple times they have failed to have them ready the same day. The first time I received a text and email stating they were ready for pickup. When I got there neither of the employees had a clue on how to print them. I needed them for the next day for an event. Luckily the event was close by and I was told that they would be open the next morning at 7am and could print them then. The same employee was there but the manager that could print and open the store didn't show up until 730. The second time I ordered a print and the estimate time it would be ready was around 6pm. My wife stopped by at 730pm and she was informed that they didn't even have that size of board available. I had to order a smaller board which meant I had to redo the artwork and order 2 16x20 boards. Oddly enough the next morning shortly after they opened the first order was printed on the board that "wasn't in stock". Reported it to corporate and had a generic response basically saying they don't care. I will never step foot in a Walgreens again thanks to the incompetence of this store. The one in Carthage isn't...
