I found Telford Auto Repair and Tire on Google, so I thought I would pay it forward by posting my own review!
As someone who regrettably doesn't know much about cars, it can be intimidating to have my car worked on. But, I had an embarrassing laundry list of car maintenance that I had put off for far too long and I decided to take it in for some TLC. I called ahead to make sure I didn't need an appointment, and they said it would be fine to come on in. I left the car with them for a few hours while I ran errands and such. (There is plenty within walking distance, which is a plus.)
Shawn (the manager) called to let me know they had finished the inspection, and asked if I would come in so that he could go over what needed to be done. When I got there, he walked me through everything they found during their inspection, even physically showing me parts that were worn or needed maintenance. He gave me an extremely reasonable quote, considering all the work I needed done--spark plugs, battery, fuel injector, brakes, the list goes on--like I said, embarrassing! Even with all that, it was just a few hours later when Shawn calls and says my car is ready to be picked up.
As I'm paying, he tells me that they noticed another belt that required replacing when they were working on my car. He said he didn't want to let it go in the condition it was in, and that they went ahead and did the work for free. I couldn't believe it, and I didn't pay a penny more than the quote he had given me earlier in the afternoon. This made me feel very confident about the work they do here, and that they genuinely care about their customers and are not just preoccupied with the bottom line. I am very pleased. I will absolutely be back, and definitely recommend Telford Auto...
Read moreI’ve taken my truck here a few times to have breaks and tire repairs and the last two time I left there, the next day I had a flat tire with a slow leak. I chalked it up to chance but after the second time leaving there with a $600+ ticket to replace breaks and rotors and to check for leaks and waking up the next morning with a flat tire I’ve decided to not use this company anymore. I’m in the process of moving and explained that to them and that I needed my car road ready for the weekend and now having to move and continue to stop every hour to fill my tire has become a major inconvenience and the fact that they are not open on the weekends is a cherry on top. They are friendly but I don’t care about how friendly they are, I want quality work and leaving a tire place with a slow leak is not what anyone should expect from a place specializing in tire repair. Update and response to their response. My name of here is not my real name. If you want to make it right then open your shop up this Sunday and fix my tire otherwise I’m going to mavis or someplace else because I don’t have time to wait, I’m in the middle of moving and need my vehicle for this weekend like I told you guys in person. I don’t have thine to wait for you guys to open on Monday. I’m sure your guys can figure out who I am… just look at your records for the past few days and see who came in for breaks rotors and tires checked… I drive a...
Read moreMisdiagnosed my f150 vacuum issue. They thought that it was the front differential. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but I got it back and my problem still existed. No need to bring it back however because after 30 minutes of trouble shooting on forums, i found out it was a simple check valve in the vacuum line had failed. Go to Copes for a proper diagnosis if you are unable to work on your own stuff. I still paid them however and now I'm out 2000. Keep the money and educate your techs. Some times it is literally something so simple like a 13 dollar part but they just jumped right to the most expensive part! Disgraceful but good luck because conveniently for your line of work, it is in high demand because no one knows or wants to learn how to do it. I use Copes when I don't have time to do it myself now and they seem honest. Good day.
No it was indeed you guys. I live down the road. Notice how I noted Copes (the better garage). Why would I waste my time writing this if you didn't burn me? Now you didn't service my truck? I can show you the receipt but it would not matter now because I will never go back. Copes is a little further of a drive (800 or so feet) and I will be going there...
