Sanrio Surprises — Local services in Temple City

Small shop with tons of cute Sanrio merch. Stock looks to be a tad bit unorganized, but plentiful. In my opinion, this makes shopping here fun - you don’t really know what you’ll find.

They have plenty of blind boxes, but the cool thing about this place is that they have an “open blind box policy” (as said by one of the employees), where you can open the blind box to see what you get before you buy it. Their blind box stock is plentiful, so if you don’t mind not being surprised, this place is good for that.

An older woman employee here was very helpful and friendly. I forgot to get her name, but she was very knowledgeable about what they had in stock. I also overheard using a phone number for rewards points here, so that might be something to look into. Overall, very cute...

Was followed around by one of the managers and made to feel uncomfortable the entire time I was looking for gifts. I’ll add this behavior was exclusively done to me while I was looking for stuff because there were other customers in the store that were not followed or made to feel uncomfortable while they were browsing for stuff they wanted to buy.

Small little store packed with a lot of cute stuff. I came here to buy a gift for a friend's daughter, then I gave it to my friend, and said, "You can keep it safe for her. I figured T-shirts, she'd grow out of but something like this keychain, she can keep with her for a while --unless she gets jacked."
