My wife and I were interested in buying some parakeets but we didn't want to buy from a big pet store like Petco or PetSmart and we found Super Pets which is only about 10 minutes from my house. We went in there and found that they had two albino parakeets which were the last ones. We quickly decided to purchased them. However, two weeks later our parakeets started showing sign of respiratory issues. My wife was crying her eyes out all night, so worried. She called vets and emergency departments to figure something out for our little parakeets. Although we only had them for two weeks, we became very attached and even my son was worried about them. When parakeets get respiratory infections, it is almost always fatal. We prayed for the health of the birds, but the next day, I called Super Pets and asked if they had a life agreement for their pets. When I initially bought them, the young lady at the counter did not give us anything to sign, but when I explained the situation to the manager on shift over the phone, she was very understanding and helpful. She told us to come in and see whether we wanted to return them or trade them in. Though it broke our hearts to give our parakeets up, we decided it was better to get another set of parakeets. Selene was the manager that helped us out and she did an amazing job. She was considerate and informative and also understanding of our situation. She even gave us a new Pet Life Agreement, just in the case that something would happen to our new parakeets. This place will be my go-to for anything my pets need in the future. It is a family owned business. Though I've only been there twice, as a result of Selene's professionalism and civility this place is worthy of 5 stars from me...
Read moreOh my GOSH!!! This place is unbelievable!!!!! I love this place. I'm addicted. That's it. It's over. I'm addicted. Never going anywhere else. This place is so affordable, they have such an interesting selection of reptiles, fish. They have eels!!! What???? Eels!! 2 different kinds!!! I will never buy an eel. But now I know if I wanted to, I could. I know exactly where I would buy it from and can you believe a moray eel is only $14.99 if I can recall correctly. I mean those things are on the discovery channel!!! They also helped me when I had to lie to my son about accidently killing his tadpole. They were all in on it . It was so sweet. I told my son I gave them the tadpole to turn into a frog. When I went to the store, I bought the frog and my son fell for it. He was under the impression they helped his tadpole morph into a juvenile pacman frog.. I know it's screwed up but he's so little it was a white lie.. Those are the good ones. They were also very knowledgeable about.. EVERYTHING to do with animals. Unlike a Petco where they honestly don't know anything about animals..I can testify to that. I worked at one when I was 16. Ok. This place rocks....
Read moreHas been my favorite pet store so far. A lot of food items are $1- $4 cheaper here and I really enjoy how willing the employees are to help you. I mainly come here for the fish and I do notice that some are their fish are sick, but they treat them right away and when I return the next week with the fish tanks looking cleaner and fish looking healthier. They have a very neat variety of fish and reptiles that keep me coming back weekly. You are also able to handle a reptile if you are over 18, they might also ask you if you want to. Most of the fish and reptiles I bought from here are very active and very smart. I bought some of my goldfish here and some at Petsmart/Petco and they knew how to get food on the surface of the water rather than waiting for it to fall to their level. They also have a sale randomly and they have one coming up this June. I highly recommend this pet store. It has food for almost all house pets and the staff is very helpful and nice. Hopefully one day they stock African...
