I love the associates, Melinda and Brian, who were patient w/ me. In addition, both possess superb knowledge of their products and demonstrate professionalism at best! I have been a loyal Estee Lauder customer for decades and intend to remain the same. Throughout my years as a customer, I have enjoyed occasional free samples. I understand the Economic turmoil our nation faces. But as a customer, I find it very attractive to receive free samples, especially for the amount I spend at Mac &EL. I hope Mac & Estee Lauder will reconsider sending an abundance of free samples, especially at the Temple (TX) Mall. Beauty product samples enable customers to see for themselves the reflectivity of the product.
Melinda used to give me samples to try. I took the pieces I deemed helpful for me. That is how I got "hooked" to specific products my sensitive skin seemed to like.
I highly recommend revisiting marketing strategies like freebies! Measures to minimize the "stealing" of freebies should be taken w/ high urgency. Both Killeen & Temple malls look like they are dying. Boost incentives and come up w/ new approaches to increase foot traffic and attract the community. HQ should help stores serving small communities and employ internal controls that best suit the demography. I will switch stores and be a loyal Dillard's customer at the Temple Mall. More so, I will be shopping for all my beauty supplies at Estee Lauder & Mac. I don't mind driving 30 miles to Temple Mall. It's all worth it because I get excellent customer service! I hope that the next time I do my Christmas shopping at Mac & Estee Lauder, I will get free samples to include in the Christmas presents. As I was waiting for family to arrive to the mall to meet for dinner, I was walking around with my kids letting them look at clothes and such. We walked into Dillard's at 5:35 and was getting ready to leave at 5:50 after making the call that they close in 10 minutes. We were walking to the front of the store to leave into the mall and they had the doors locked and closed, leaving customers baffled on why they couldn't walk into the mall. Employees commented that they would try to get a manager to unlock the door and while we were waiting my wife asked why they were closed to the mall. They replied that it was policy to lock the doors at 5:30 since the mall closed at that time. Mind you we walked in at 5:35, my wife said it didn't make any since, and the employees started to argue with my wife. The manager said they wouldn't open the door to the mall because of the policy and made 4 families walk outside around the mall to get to their vehicles in the cold rain, all because people parked at other places around the mall. The employees were disrespectful and argued with my wife, I had to drag here away because they were just talking in circles, still failing to open the doors for families trying to get back to where they came from. My friend had accidentally left his headlights on and killed the battery so I went in to see if any of the workers or security guards could possibly help. The first person (who I sadly didnāt get the name of) I went to was great and began calling and asking her coworkers if they could help or know someone who could, eventually she was told to ask Brian (or Bryan, I didnāt get to check the spelling) and he was happy to help, the store was closing soon so we waited and right as he got off, he came to help us and was so so sweet, I tried to pay him but he refused to take the money and said that he just wanted us to be safe and to make it home and that we should use the money to get us a dinner. He was a blessing for sure because if it wasnāt for him, we wouldāve been waiting for over an hour, while it was getting dark, for help to arrive.
