I gave a one star rating because I had to pick one. I purchased a pair of earrings for my girlfriend for this past Christmas (2023). They were very sparkly in the beginning. The last couple of months they have become vey dull. No luster, no sparkle and no bling. I tried cleaning them but it didnât change a thing. I took them back where I purchased them at the Kay Jewelers in Temple, TX today. They were pretty much indifferent to the issue. Would not exchange them, let me get something different or get a refund. They did have a pair of new ones in the case. The person went back and spoke with someone. She came back and said it was past the 60 day return period. I informed her that they looked fine up until about 2 months ago. She asked if I wanted to send them off to be repaired. I said ok I guess thatâs the only option youâre giving me. Then she informed me there would be a $99.00 repair charge. I said absolutely not. I was not going to pay to repair their defective jewelry. Plus she wouldnât guarantee me that the repair would take care of the problem. I walked out and will never ever step foot in another Kay Jewelry store again!! After reading other reviews it seems this is a pretty common occurrence. I would highly recommend not making any type of purchase from this Kay Jewelry store or any other one for that matter. The assistant manager said they typically come back in two weeks but we have to set your promise date out a month later . I already did not want to wait a whole month to get the ring back just for it to go up one size but was like ok lets just hope its the typical 2weeks like the Assistant manager said . I call to check on it 3 weeks later and the assistant manager says it has a promise date of the tenth and to watch our email for a notification that it has arrived back at the store i said i would just call back next week as we were not getting the emails and she proceeds to say you will get an email. Fast word to the 7th i call and both times that i had called their tone over the phone was they were annoyed that i had called to check on my ring she was very short with her verbiage and alls they could say was the promise date is the tenth . This is not customer service and i will be going to the killeen location from now on if we decide to buy through kays again, as they dont mind me calling to check on my ring since we are not getting the emails that tell us...
