I use to adore this store but after what happened today I'll won't be returning. The reason why? I've been shopping at this store for months. Last week I came in and look around for a book on bio rythems. So it took me awhile to look because the store is so big I happen to notice that I was being followed by the manager. Every we're I went there she was pretending like she was straighting up the shelves. It passed me off so I just left because i was seriously humiliated. I went back today looked for some tarot cards and guess who tapped me on my shoulder?? Terre Haute P D.. she said I had to leave because I was caught stealing in that store. I told the office that everytime I go in that store I'm spending money. So ehy did I get singled out? Because of who I am. A Black Woman. I was never caught taking anything from that store. I was followed, singled out, and police were called on me. I was discriminated against. When is this type of behavior going to stop? We are all looked at as if we're going to steal if we go into a store. I got singled out because of the color of my skin. SMH. To the managers who lied about me stealing at bookable a million store in Terre Haute Indiana; You treated me with such disrespect. You insulted my integrity with your vicious lies, You threw stones at me while you punished and hurt my innocence, Your racist actions against me shows that; Some American's will continue to have discrimitive views in there hearts and lack success while other American's continue change and know in there hearts that God created only one race; The Human Race... Blessed Be to whoever reads this and understand the feeling of being lied on, disrespected, fausly accused, preyed upon , reticulated, judged, railroaded ,framed and set up by the people who you suppose to provide good quility...
Read moreFinal Trimester by Dianna T. Benson is the first novel in the Quigley Triplets Trilogy series. Benson has written a gripping suspense novel that races full-on to the last page. This story will not disappoint. Dedicated paramedic, Jodi Duncan, harbors a secret from her earlier years which compels her to foster children and to seek to adopt a child. First to add up crime scene evidence and propose that similar deaths of pregnant women are the result of a demented serial killer, she becomes the target of his fascination. Detective Nate Quigley, fighting his own battle with the past and a tragedy for which he blames himself, slowly is drawn into the murder theory and into Jodi’s life. Each has reason to resist romantic interest in the other; yet, fate binds them to the victims’ lives and to each other. With her life on the line, Nate can no longer deny his feelings for her. Will there be a happy resolution for them or will a serial killer triumph? The reader will not want the story to end, but there is more entertainment to follow in two more books in the Quigley Triplets Trilogy. I recommend this book to any reader who enjoys a well-crafted thriller. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an...
Read moreLocally, it's basically the only bookstore left. I frequently visit the place to find something I didn't know I was looking for. Though online book ordering is done sometimes personally, there is still nothing quite like meandering amongst the books and come across something you didn't know you wanted. They have started including "used" books amongst their selections which is nice because some of the books are new titles but probably simple returns. As a result you can find a brand new title that is maybe half the price, in addition you may find older obscure titles that you would never seek out but can't help but pick up. Though I must admit that online book shopping has spoiled the consumer, I must admit that not having bookstores seems a bleak prospects. As such, I am glad to come in and spend the occasional $25-$30 on a title that I could get for $15 online in hopes that a place to walk amongst the shelves remains a reality.
As a general review, the place is always kept clean and nice..the staff is super friendly and helpful and because of that I always let them give their required speech about becoming a reward member, and politely decline the offer of "free" magazines...
