Kroger — Local services in Terre Haute

Update. I now use the pickup service. The orders are accurate and delivered to my car with a friendly, cheery and respectful attitude. The bags are sturdy and packed correctly.

The store itself is clean and well organized with a good selection of products. The floor staff is helpful. The lady at the self checkout is also always cheerful and helpful. However, Yesterday, I went thru a cashier line. The bagger was occupied with everything except his job and I didn’t get home with everything I bought. I suppose the next person got it. The bagger in the next aisle was even worse. He threw a bag of chips in the cart, a loaf of bread on top and then a cart load of groceries went on top of that. The poor lady probably got home with flat bread and chip crumbs. Just appalling. He kept looking at his watch and left as soon as he was done. Watch those baggers folks! Keep them focused. Kroger is always jam packed full of people! Good prices and amazing coupon deals keep me going back. For example, a recent coupon allowed me to buy 2 12-pack Coke or Pepsi (and their various products) for $20, but get 3 THREE free! That's a $30 discount. It's almost like a going out of business discount, but they ain't going nowhere. I can't imagine that they're making crazy profits on coupons like this, but it sure does drive customer retention that's for sure. I mean I'm going to keep going back if there's coupons like that, who wouldn't!? And most of their prices are very competitive for items that are not already discounted below competitor price. For some folks though, I can see how going to Walmart or a larger footprint grocery just because of the foot traffic that exists at Kroger. This is my Kroger! I use the pharmacy, shop, and even buy some of the best sushi that I can find in Terre Haute at a great price still! My fave is the Dragon with Shrimp , as of today!! I usually get the Crab one but today I wanted to try the Shrimp and it is delish ! If you haven't had a chance to check out the sushi at this Kroger, you are missing out!! Also, great florist and deli! Don't forget to watch for the Sushi deals!

2nd Review: This Kroger is one of the best around! If you are not shopping here you are missing some great deals!! I have said above the sushi is on point and nothing has changed there. The florist area is always an eye catcher. The fresh fruits and veggies will keep even the pickiest organic person smiling!
