I'll split this review in to two parts (Inbound help): inbound help are the employees you encounter as you are moving through the store. The associate who check to see if you need help or the ones located at the stations around the store
As I made my way through the store the first thing I noticed is as most others are, The banners for the isles. Only issue is there are putter and inner isles and no banners on the outside to direct you where to go on the inner isles. Makes a trip seem more confusing to a average person.
I made my way inside and noticed there was a lack of help or people knowledgeable to assist. I went through 6 isles before I found a employee and alas this employee had zero information and went to find someone who could help. This help may have been in another state because 17 minutes later some random employee walked by and told me he will then make a call...at that point I cut my losses and just went with my gut. I took the items I knew and thought I needed and proceeded to exit twords the check out.
Pushing a large rolling cart I found cumbersome.. each isle had mirco stands with spontaneous items that should if they must be there be placed at the in of the isle not down the stretch.
(Outbound help): As I approached the check out there I was pleased with the availability of clerks open and working. The lane was empty and as the clerk checked my items I asked about any in-store coupons available. She didn't know. I looked at my phone to check online and she patiently waited. I didn't find any that I needed so I thanked her and paid my bill. She asked if I needed help to load it and before I said yes there was a employee there with me. We loaded the items and I made my way.
In all this location lacks navigation tools, knowledgeable associates that are easily accessible. Check out was smooth and plesent
If you are going to go here. I suggest you know first what you want, catch someone right at the entrance if you need help finding your items. Make sure your cart functions properly and...
Read moreWe received 4 major appliances less than a month ago. We also bought the 5 year Home Depot repair/service plan. We just got electricity and water yesterday. The washer keeps tripping the breaker and the dishwasher has a drainage error. We've been able to do some laundry but then, randomly, when starting a new load of laundry, the breaker trips. We haven't had the dishwasher get through a full cycle. We called HD and were told if it's less than a year, it's only covered by LGs warranty and we can't get help from HD. We called LG and then received a text msg that we have an appointment in a month. When we said that wasn't acceptable, the person from LG said "It will be sooner because ppl cancel appointments." So, I just spent $10k on appliances and paid for more coverage than the company warranty, and I still have to wait a month, MAYBE minus a couple days. I live in a rural area and the laundromat is 40 minutes away. As happy as I was with the purchase and sales associates going the extra mile--extra 5miles, tbh!--I'm unhappy with this situation. Edit 2 days later: I was sent a survey by HD to fill out and was then contacted by Sears service that they were coming today for the dishwasher. The service tech called and said he would be here between 10am and 12 noon today. Waited all day. Called tech back and no answer. Text msg and no reply. Then received a text msg from Sears service saying that we were rescheduled for 2 days later than the original date. Still haven't heard anything about the washing...
Read moreI will never shop at Home Depot again. I bought my first big purchase here a couple of weeks ago and it has been a disaster. First of all when I bought the washer and dryer in person, the sales associate told me that it came with the stacking kit that I needed. A couple of days later when the appliance got delivered, they did not have a stocking kit and told me that I forgot to order it. I refused the order and had them send the washer and dryer to a warehouse until the stacking kit came in and I rescheduled the order. A day before my order was supposed to be delivered again, I got a text message saying that my order was going to be delayed and that I would get a phone call from them. So I went to bed, disappointed and woke up to a missed call saying that my delivery would be leaving at 9:15 AM. I assumed that they would be leaving their other location at 9:15 because as per the text from the night before, my order was delayed. When really they were sitting outside my house without my knowledge and left the premises at 9:15. When I called to check on the delivery, they said that they attempted to deliver, but I did not answer the door and that I would have to reschedule. AGAIN. All because Home Depot failed to at the very least, give me a heads up on my delivery time. Do not order any major appliances from the store unless you want a headache and a disaster...
