Verizon — Local services in Texas Township

What a kind experience I had today with Jeff and his coworkers at Verizon in Honesdale! Yesterday, our dock floated away with me on it! (And, with my phone in my pocket — that’s what happens when the next generation takes its first shot at putting in the dock). Alas, I ended up in the lake in a cute red dress…with my phone in my pocket. I’ve been to Verizon in other locations after making my Asurian claim and they’ve turned me away. This time - I walked in, was greeted immediately with a “how can I help you?” - I noted I was 90% certain he couldn’t and explained the situation. Jeff asked for my phone which was back at the cottage - noted if it was under 24 hours he thought he might be able to work magic. I cam back with the phone 40 minutes later and he calming didn’t promise anything, but said let’s give it a shot - took my phone, plugged it into some magic water removal machine, suggested I enjoy some shopping around the center and check back in an hour or so. I did - and his colleague (name I didn’t get, but tattooed arms and was working very sweetly with an older couple) greeted me and said Jeff would be back soon. We’ll — the phone was dried out and charging! I was happy to pay for the $40+ wireless charger to get the phone ready to transfer data that I assumed was lost to my new phone. When I left - he said to come back if I had problems. GREAT...

On Wednesday, May 9th, 2018, I went to the Carbondale PA store to purchase an otterbox defender case for my Note 8...I informed them I get 25% off of accessories and 19% off on plans. They said they could not find anywhere that I got 25% off. Then they gave me the ridiculous price of 79.99, said they could go as low as 65.00 with his employee discount. I showed the price on Verizon website which was 58.00 on sale for 44.00 When I informed the man I was going to make a complaint, he then said he could do a price match, but could not reach the district manager...They were stringing me along, trying to RIP me off. I left, went to Walmart in Honesdale PA, and purchased the same case for 22.47 I will be telling everyone to be careful in that store. My entire family refuses to ever do business with TCC ever. Friends will here of my dealings with them as well.

To sum up my experience, liars and thieves...Deceptive practices...Beware,...

KUDOS TO TYLER!

I walked into the store with a box full of two old phones, two new phones, cords, receipts, boxes for our two new phones, sim cards, and cases for our two new phones. It's a long story...but...they would not set up as anticipated.

I sat down at one of the "tall tables" due to being disabled.

Along came TYLER. We hit every wall we could hit to get our new phones up and running. We worked together as a team for quite some time. I did mention to Tyler my excitement of solving a problem and that I usually wind up with a big smile on my face after solving a problem.

The setup was eventually accomplished. Tyler and I ended our business accomplishment with smiles on our faces.
