Had my wife take our two absolutely pristine (with perfect screen and battery) Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phones to complete an extensive plan upgrade and phone trade-in deal originally made online with Verizon corporate sales. Verizon assured me it would be a simple process to drop off the phones at the nearest Verizon store for the trade-in credit. When my wife arrived, the employee she dealt with was indifferent and dismissive, condescending and uninformed. She had to insist twice on being provided a printed receipt for the turned-in phones, which apparently inconvenienced store personnel, though they were not at all busy. Glad she persisted because the printed receipts for the phones clearly stated that the phones did not meet the trade-in requirements(!) and that the Verizon store employee had arbitrarily devalued them by almost 25%!! I later received email notification that my phone bill would increase as a result! Furious, I contacted Verizon corporate sales and they quickly recognized and corrected the careless and incompetent error. I really shouldn't have had to go to all that trouble. My wife is 72 and we wonder if the store is oriented toward upselling the young naive crowd and ignoring or taking for granted mature folk. While we will continue our 11-year relationship with Verizon corporate, we will never, ever set foot in the Thatcher Verizon store again, and do they...
Read moreWent into the store directly because I was in need of rural internet via a hotspot. I was told by a female associate at this location they did not have any plans over 30gb high speed/month even if I purchased a hotspot. So I reluctantly signed up for satellite internet, was absolutely conned by a company and almost charged $400 to get out of their contract even though I was within a 30 day trial period. I had to fight them for hours to honor their own grace period on their contract.
Then I tried a 3rd party unlimited hotspot plan and was conned AGAIN this time they offered a 7 day trial period but wouldn't respond to emails, had no phone lines and so I naturally went past the 7 days due to their own failure to respond to me and was unable to get my money back.
I did some more research online and through the MyVerizon app and spoke with an associate online who got me an $80/month 150gb high speed mobile hotspot plan within minutes.
This one associate here cost me hundreds in unecessary charges all because she was either flat out rejecting me for reasons I don't know or she is uneducated on her own companies...
Read moreI went in to buy a new phone knowing I would have to pay 10% down. I said I wanted a good camera and the sales rep said he had a Moto with a 21mp camera. I said ok and he went back and got phone and we figured out the cost. $142.69 down and $10 a month payment for 2 years. Great! I paid and Because of porting problem I wasn't able to use the phone right away. So I did a little research on what I bought when I got home. The phone I was given was 12mp camera and not the one I was told I was going to get. Went back in the next day to fix he problem and they said oh my bad you will have to pay more down and more a month for the phone with the 21mp camera. I get the price difference of the phones and I get the 10% down due to my credit but I was sold he wrong device! If I had known the actual pricing of he product promised I may of not purchased it. But I was told I was getting a Moto phone with 21mp camera for $142.69 and $10 a month. Now they refuse to honor it or fix he problem without charging me for the...
