So this is literally the first complaint I have ever written. During my 29 years of life, never once, until now have I felt the need/wanted to put forth the effort of doing this.
Until now, I have always had a good experience at Titan. Theevents are awesome, your energy drinks are priced solidly (crucial!), and the store is spacious and overall pretty impressive.
So the story begins yesterday around 1pm. I showed up with a stack of about 25-35 mtg cards, with the intention of trading them for store credit and using said credit to purchase a few items. I was told by the very polite gentlemen working at the time that he was unable to price the cards and that some mtg maven would be in at 4pm to look them over. Completely understandable. He wrote down my name and #, and was told that a would receive a call. I waited till about 7:30pm and decided to head to the store.
Friday Night Magic was just about to start, so the place was understandably hectic and I'm sure a busy time for the employees. Two people were working... lets call them Ponytail and non-ponytail for obvious reasons (if you don't want the attention that a god-damn ponytail brings, you shouldn't look like a bad guy from Die Hard). I went up to the counter to let them know who I was, and that the stack of cards belonged to me. I guess I had figured that they would look them over then. I'm pretty patient, plus there is near endless browsing to be done, so killing time while they looked at the cards would have been perfectly fine.
To my surprise, I was told that this amount of cards would take a WEEK to look through...wow. So I asked for my cards back. Upon receiving said stack of cards, non-ponytail, in an impressively tactlessness move (this is my favorite part), decided this would be a good time to inform/chastise me for bringing my cards in top-loaders. The reason being they're worried about damaging the cards while removing them. This just added to the comedy of it all. First of all, how hard is it to get a card out of some plastic, unless you have god-damn Hulk hands. Second, why not ask the customer to take them out? I've been asked to do that countless times at other shops. Things are not that complicated.
Side Note: Where is the mat with the trade-in values that every other shop uses? How am I supposed to know which cards I want to keep when the only info I'm given is a monetary total, which during my previous experience was shouted across the room by sans-ponytail.
Never have I experienced this hilariously lacking customer service and social skills, MVA aside. So I'm pretty sure I'll be avoiding Titan like the plague, which is a shame since the events, and other aspects of your business are so awesome. This just left a bad taste in my mouth.
Anyways that's my story. Just felt the end to vent/let...
Read moreI was only visiting my brother when he took me here and they were not fully open due to the epidimic so my review might miss some things that the locals know.
The place was clean and had lots of tables to play at but you could see that they were doing changes to the place and had some stuff scattered. The back room where people could use the room for ttrpg was getting the changes so I couldn't see the end product but it sounded good. Over all the place was clean, nice, and spacious.
They had a table where people could paint or assemble figurines but I don't know if they are going to keep that permanently. It has lights and a station magnifying glass and room. That was something new for me.
There was a selection of board games for sell but the two biggest sellers in the store were magic and figurines. Understandable though. The only thing I would have liked to see was more RPGs and settings for people to play RPGs. That is also because I like RPGs, so don't take that into a big account.
The guy working the desk was friendly and very helpful. You could tell he knew his stuff and didn't mind his job.
Overall I would say that if you are a local you should check this place out, especially if you are into gaming. If you are an out of Towner and just stopping for business and looking for a game I believe that after the epidemic this would be a great place.
Hopefully this helps. Have...

If you play it they probably stock it tobsome extent. Pokemon, Magic yup they got it. Warhammer, 40k, infinity and Malifaux yep got them too. Need paint, brushes, glue and other supplies to make those minis pop they got them too. Fan of TTRPGs don't think they've left you out as they got you with dice sets, books, minis, and grid/hex maps. Looking for a new board game for date/game night? They've got plenty to choose from.
The staff are great, friendly and really knowledgeable in their various fields. IF for some reason they don't have what your looking for on hand they can usually get it for you in a reasonable time frame.
They have open gaming and hobby areas for whatever you may want to do that day. They even have rooms for rent for a decent price if you need the privacy.
They have a great snack and drink selection to choose from. Candy, chips, cookies, monster water, and sodas you name it. They host pretty regular tournaments for magic, wathammer and the like. Ecenif you don't need anything that day it's a great place to hang out. The community they've but there is very welcoming. Someone's always ready to chat you up about their...
