THB Bagelry & Deli of Timonium — Restaurant in Maryland

I am a pretty easy-going customer/person, and despite bad experiences, this is the first time Ive felt compelled to write a negative review for something.. it was THAT bad! the food is always decent, but the experience I had recently was enough that I will never go back. I called my order (one chicken salad sandwich) in 15 minutes before I planned to pick it up. I typically only have about 30 min to eat, so I was hoping to time it correctly so that I could just pick up my food and go. After I arrived and paid, I was told my food wasn’t ready so I sat to wait. After 5+ min of sitting there and watching all the employees joke around, not paying any attention to the food, one of the cashiers tells me that they’re out of the bagel I wanted my sandwich on, and to pick another. I did, and only then did he tell the person cooking to prepare the sandwich I had ordered 20+ minutes previously. I asked how long it would take, and he said 2 minutes. Ten minutes later, he hands me my food. I asked why it wasn’t started until after I had arrived, and he gave me multiple excuses, none of which made any sense. As I was speaking to the cashier, one of the other employees bee-lined out the front door. I eventually asked if I could speak to a manager, only to be informed that it was in fact the manager who chose to ignore me entirely and walk out the door. I asked when there would be another manager I could speak with, and was mostly ignored other than one employee saying “maybe Friday” but refused to provide me with a time frame. Not only did it take nearly 40 minutes for them to prepare my food (which I was unable to eat before I had to return to work), but the employees (and management) were extremely inattentive, rude, and unhelpful. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this location and the terrible employees that work there...

My updated 5 star review- back to being a go to place for bagels for me! Service is really timely, love the new ordering system and the food is as good as always ❤️ glad they're back to quality!!

My 3 star review - Worst experience I've ever had here. They forgot my order and told me someone took it but I never got a comfirn text that my order was ready which tells me they never made it. I waited over 30 minutes for 2 bagels. They are prioritizing the online orders over orders placed on the Kiosk. I understand it is difficult with COVID restrictions and a busy Sunday so maybe hire more employees for the busy time - or just make the orders in the order they arrive in so that way the people who order in store don't have to wait. People came and went who ordered after me.

10- ish on a Sunday morning, place was crazy busy with a line reaching to the door. Resigned to a lengthy wait and were very surprised that we were being helped in just a few minutes. Out of the omelettes, breakfast bagel sandwiches and other delights we were drawn to the specialty bagel sandwiches, Balto Lox with bacon and avocado) and Albacore Tuna. We had our choice of fresh bagels, beverage and sides if ordered as a combo. The capable staff worked quickly and accurately to fill our order and though tables were at a premium we found a spot by the time our order was ready. Be sure to listen carefully for the called-out order number among the lovely chatter! The sandwiches were great, filling and delicious. A side of potato salad was incongruous but tasty. We realized the target audience for those sandwiches may have been more for lunch, which made the potato salad fit right in.
