Went in to look around for some materials for my garage and some of the young guys working there were very helpful until some arrogant manager came over and sarcastically asked them what they were doing. I had asked them for 12 sheets of luan and they needed to be in good shape because I was using them on an exposed ceiling. The manager came over and I told him I needed them undamaged and he look at me with a very disrespectful stare and said that I was funny…. He was very ignorant and wasn’t happy the staff were helping me. I checked over the luan that they pulled for me and a few were damaged and I didn’t want to waste time having them put them back and get other ones so I told him I didn’t want them and he can put them back.
I just went to Home Depot and got the same thing in pristine condition for $0.50 more per sheet. They are overpriced there and management is horrible so goto another location or the Loading Dock in Baltimore. I buy stuff there and management is helpful and not ignorant…. He should be fired and never work in customer service or management of any type…. I hope he reads this. I am sure all of the staff know who I am talking about and they share my comment.
He was probably in his 50s and had some crazy red or reddish blonde hair…. He had this crazy look on his face like he was always mad…....

Like, greet people when they walk in that last 30 minutes and say, hi welcome, just so you know we close in 30 minutes at 6pm. And as you see people while you're working , say hey, just so you know, we're closing in 10 minutes so you might want to gather your final purchases and hop in line soon. That way, browsing customers that are visiting for the first time won't be surprised when they're abruptly told to make their way downstairs to leave at 5:50pm on a bright and sunny summer afternoon while being gently forced and guided down the stairs. I know that sounds strange but it was the most pleasant yet controlling interaction. I was happily yet forcefully moved towards the stairs.
Anyway. Just an idea.
Oh adding Ive worked in retail, restaurants and customer service for over 30 years. I know what it's like to close a store but still have to clean, mop, marry ketchup, reset, etc. My issue is not the fact that they close at 6 and want to close on time. My issue here was lack of communication and abruptly being told to go before the actual closing time and while other people were in the...
Read moreThis store is used items for home improvement they also have amazing deals on appliances, counter tops, dressers, sofas, chairs you name it if it goes in a house they had it!! Their merchandise changes by the week sometimes by the day! Always something new to see and buy each visit. Their prices are so good they can't be compared to goodwill or salvation army. The quality is also alot better then those stores. You won't clothing or anything of the such here though so stick to those for your dressing needs. If you are moving into a new home, or working on an all out rehab you will fair much better by shopping here vs. Lowes or the depot. The workers were very kind and knowledgeable in then pricing of each item. You can also find new painting items here and used "basically new" gallons or cans of paint. You won't get to have it mixed and made its just paint that people bought to much in their own chosen colors. Still a steal compared to normal prices elsewhere. Store is also pretty large and has...
