I would leave zero stars but since it’s not possible will leave one. This school is terrible it literally feels like a scam. When i initially applied to the school i applied to the hygiene program but my enrollment advisor allison was racist and appointed all people of color to the EFDA and palm colored people to hygiene. When I initially applied i asked for tuition rates and was told that it would take while because they needed to make adjustments because i already had my radiology and provided my own computer. During enrollment I was told majority of the classes in the beginning would be online. Only later to find out I would be on campus for the rest of my program time. Then while enrolled I was told I would have to repeat a class after my father’s passing due to absences even though I passed the class with a 92%. I wrote a letter to appeal and the dean melanie said I would not have to repeat, but the acting director on her last day before leaving undermined me and had a meeting with the dean to make me repeat the class. During the program we didn’t have instructors the instructors we did have were over worked. The hands on experience is EXTREMELY LIMITED. The operatories only have approximately 6 chairs because they honestly don’t expect that many students to make it to the end of the program to capstone. Now at the end of the program they are saying I owe a balance for the repeating of a class but they took out over $13,000 in loans in my name with out me knowing or my consent and said they could do that because I signed a master promissory note(mpn). When I asked for a itemized break of my tuition classes I noticed they were charging me for a laptop I never received and they refused to take the amount for the laptop off of my balance even though they said it’s off but the balance does not reflect that. They are literally a scam. I will now be contacting the attorney general, department of education, better business administration and more because this school needs to be shut down same as harris school of business. The amount of reviews that literally have the same experience or worse and we do not know each other is astounding and are years apart is just bizarre. I was made aware of these illegal loans from a hygienist one day when working in the field she and her mother had to reach out to lawyers regarding the loans they took out in the students name with out them being made aware. This is was made me check my fafsa and seen the $13,00 taken put in my name. Her i am on my last 3weeks of class and they are still taking loans out in my name without mentioning this balance to me to give me the option to pay in cash. But somehow they keep mentioning a balance from me having to repeat a class. I emailed ms.christine and she then cc’d a random lady name jessica and refuses to have a productive conversation about my balance. They never acknowledge the amount for a laptop coming off or allocating the funds. I would also like to mention the lack of professionalism displayed by her. Before i knew her name I saw her put two middle fingers up behind a students back as he was was walking away from said conversation regarding his balance. The person I am referring to is ms.christine. She literally looks at you with disgust as you speak i almost asked her was she okay. I hope they don’t try to retaliate because of this review. This school is a scam PLEASE be aware I hope my review saves someone. I would literally tell people on tours of the school not to enroll. It’s no way what they’re doing is legal! Big shoutout to mrs.o’keefe she is the best thing to ever happen to that school. I also would like to mention i have never heard of a school making an externship into two classes it’s honestly as if they want you to fail so they can continue charge you for classes. The attendance policy is very confusing. You can have a doctors note and they will not excuse for anything and still make you fail the class even though they let you make of up the school work. PLEASE RUN DO NOT APPLY...
Read moreLet’s first start off by saying this “AllState Career school” advertises its-self as an accredited trade school that offers a CDL (commercial drivers license) program but it’s long shot away from those expectations. The school’s CDL program tuition is $11,500.00 to obtain a commercial drivers license and all students must experience a long, tiring & drawn out 6 month Period of classroom plus Range time. Special sales people (Aka recruiters) whom might I add no longer work there for unknown reasons, give you a tour of the facility showing you all the shinny books and computer lab (which a student in the CDL program will never use) disregarding Showing you the actual “Range” where students are supposed to learn how to drive Tractor Trailers. The Range is located at a different location approximately 8 miles away from the fancy building they let you tour. During the tour, the staff doesn’t tell you that after 3 months in the class room you will have to travel to another location (which requires public or private transportation) which is in Chester Pa (40 Norris street) approximately 8 miles from the place you toured. The very small rock covered non paved lot is located 40 Norris St in Chester Pa right by the Chester water front. It has been compared to as a graveyard for broken tractor trailers. The “Range” is supposed to be well maintained but it’s littered with trash, seagulls, trucks that won’t start and unhappy disappointed students who sit in their cars all day (if the student is fortunate enough to own a vehicle) because there is not enough trucks to practice their skills on. The long drawn out curriculum/program was only made 6 months long to obtain government financial assistance for the students that don’t have cash up front to pay for their education/CDL license. Apparently, for $5000 cash you can obtain your CDL In 5 weeks at this school also. The fortunate kids that have cash up front will have first priority to the equipment and the financial aid students are put on hold. The government requires a curriculum to be at least 6 months long for a school to be accredited & receive financial aid for its students. All state Career School creates an extremely long drawn out commercial drivers license curriculum to qualify you for this government financial assistance money.
Student are told that they will graduate on a certain date during orientation but will find out that the school is so over crowded, their gradation and state exam will not be anytime around that date explained in orientation, but much later. But after you’ve signed for your financial aid to be released to this school, your now locked into a contract that can’t be backed out of. Once they get your money all the bells and whistles are never seen again. The student quickly starts to regret their investment after the painful realization that after six months due to the lack of instructors, teachers, staff, state examiners, & equipment to properly train them in a timely manner, will still not graduate on time no matter how hard they’ve worked. There are three classes for the CDL program and they are scheduled as follows: from 8am to 1pm , 1:30pm - 6:30 & 6:30 - 11:00pm. Each class have over 50 to 75 students attending and there is only 2 manual trucks and 1 automatic truck to practice skills like parallel parking, strait line backing or alley dock parking. What is the ratio of student to teacher? Is this institution biting off more than they can chew? Some days all the students just kick rocks along the Lot and teach each other what they know about a truck because in a 5 hour day most of them will never touch the truck, not even once. One student expressed how he learned more from a student than he has ever learned from an instructor. Instructors are limited and All are under paid with an “I don’t...

And I really think the good reviews are paid. I have never heard any good reviews from people who actually went to the school. I recently reapplied to CCP after returning from military training. Sadly they gave me the run around and did not hold my seat in program, unfortunately law does not apply to national guard members in training. Anyways I didnt apply to other programs because i expected to get my seat back at CCP. Now Allstate is the only school still accepting apps for next fall, at first i was hesitant to apply because of their reputation but i decide to get them a try anyways. While on zoom, the host was rude. She had an attitude and was annoyed anytime someone questioned her. The tuition is extremely expensive and theyre picky about selecting credits if you already have a degree. I personally dont think it’s worth the headache. The staff are ghetto and unprofessional. To collect all this money while being disrespectful is a shame. Good luck to anyone who makes it through i personally rather wait until applications open up at other schools next year. I think this school is only good for HVAC and med assistance. Everything else …. reputation is always bed- update next
OK so it’s been about three years since the program originally opened up and a year since I left my first review. So here’s an update I wanted to leave a honest and unbiased review. Again after my first encounter during the zoom session, I continued to do my research and interview others who have went through their hygiene program. Yes, it is expensive and apparently the school is extremely unorganized and you’re practically teaching yourself despite the headache former students still recommend the program so I decided to follow up, and apparently the admission counselor who did the zoom video has since been fired(so they say but I still see her photo on website) Overall, I think the school has a long way to go. It’s ironic because their sister School fortis Institute in Scranton PA has such a great reputation and does extremely well I’m not sure what the disconnect is and why the school is ran so poorly. If you’re able to bypass the hectic admissions process and enter the hygiene program, you should be able to push through just think about the...
