We came In around 9:30 at night from the airport to the LaQuinta In next door. We ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, Twice Baked Potatoes, Buffalo Chicken Mac N Cheese, and a Greek (Mediterranean) Salad. Got sat down immediately, Staff members were kind, but did have to come back and ask each individual order about three times, possible language barrier, We didn’t mind It was, after all 10 at night so we weren’t upset. Food came out in a fair amount of time. Everything was good, Philly cheese steak was great, good cheese to steak ratio and everything was hot. Things were missing from the Twice Baked potatoes but they were still good. Salad was fresh! Cucumbers and tomatoes freshly chopped, feta was great, and gyro meat was good! A little greasy, but it tasted great. Mac n cheese came out hot and the buffalo fried chicken was delicious. For the variety of food we got, and the quality of the food was worth the price. When we are in Philly again we will be bringing family...
Read moreIt was 1AM, with nothing else open nearby, and I was hungry. Stopped in, and was met by the server, wearing a tufted winter coat, because it was cold in there. The omelette was mediocre at best, due to Turkey ham, but I endured it due to my hunger. It was actually cooked well, but the imitation ham turned me off. The scrapple was inedible to me, and borderline nasty tasting. The best part of the meal, was the tasty, well cooked hash brown potatoes, and the rye toast. I won’t be back. I’ll go to...
Read moreAfter dropping off our children at the airport, we decided to visit a local diner for breakfast, one we hadn't been to in over 2 decades. We were surprised to learn it had new owners and just had their grand opening.
The plentiful food was delicious!! The coffee was really good; creamed chipped beef was very flavorful; eggs cooked perfectly; pancakes were light and fluffy; hash browns nice and buttery. We appreciated the items were not overly salted. OBVIOUSLY, we took enough leftovers to have another, full breakfast the next day.
Our server, Kim, was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We highly recommend you visit the New Philly Diner . . . especially if you haven't been for a while. The new owners have a healthier menu and the atmosphere...
