Just checked in Yesterday and the Feeling of Being at Home is Just Blowing our mind!! The Kitchen Staff is just Unbeatable at the Titusville Canopy!! Starting with the Amazing Look that the Canopy is Sporting, it’s just such a Floridian Feel. As you enter the Front Door you are Greeted by a Very Warm Friendly Face, Annette and Candie who are ready to put a Relaxing Feeling of Being at Home in Your Heart!! Now, for the Medical Staff and the Staff itself are Always Going Above and Beyond to Relax You, as you are entering your apartment for the Very First Time!!! Senior Staff is always ready to help and guide you through the system!! There is sufficient evidence that The Canopy staff administer sedatives to residents who are "uncooperative." This not only can induce unnecessary falls, for which the resident is then charged, but is also against state law. They also failed to meet numerous requirements established by state law, specifically those of 2023 Florida Statute §429.28 (Resident Bill-of-Rights), subsections 1 a, b, c, e, h, and j.
The staff, while outwardly accommodating, also seems to lack the training to deal with residents with various personalities and specific needs.
The Canopy also has a policy that affords residents an unusual level of authority with regard to decision-making, particularly involving other residents. This introduces the risk of unfair treatment toward residents who may simply be unliked by them or are otherwise considered "black sheep."

Read moreMy parents moved down from Kentucky and into the Canopy on August 2022. The process to sign up and move in was flawless and they were eager to move into Assisted Living. My mother unfortunately passed a month after moving here but during her time she absolutely loved the staff and fellow residents. My father still resides here and has loved his time there. He is very active in helping the residents have their voices heard and the management is very receptive of the inputs. As a brand new facility they are still working out some of the kinks however all places have their growing pains. What I really love is that the staff go out of their way to make the family members feel like they are part of their community and engage with us frequently. I would not hesitate having my parents move to the Canopy if we were to do it...
