We stopped in over Thanksgiving weekend to get a ring (my grandmother's wedding ring) resized. Imagine our surprise when we found out it would cost $220!! Apparently you're now forced to "bundle" a resize with several other services - no choice on this. This comes down to greed, pure and simple, especially since this would've been a size smaller - meaning Kay's would be getting a small quantity of gold in addition to the money. This included what is normally done anyway after a resize - cleaning, check stones. No warranty on anything either.
We wrote to corporate to voice our concerns since we've spent a lot of money with Kay's over the years. After getting a call back, we've decided to never patronize Kay's again. The smug attitude we got from corporate was the proverbial "straw"... "gee, sorry you feel that way". Took the ring to Kline's in Port St. John - $40 to resize. The service at Kline's...
Read moreI can't say that I was very happy with my experience at the Titusville Kay Jewelry. My husband and I went in with the intent of picking out a diamond engagement ring and I also took my diamond birthstone ring to see if they would clean it. I took another diamond ring in to see if they would size it for me. I was surprised when the young lady told me that they don't size rings not bought there. The sales lady acted like I was bothering her. I bet if I told her I was there to get a solitaire diamond ring first she would have treated me better. The birthstone ring I brought in for cleaning wasn't cleaned well at all. That day after I left and went to another jewelry store looking for the solitaire diamond ring I should have went back and done a Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman) scene. Kay Jewelers that was your big mistake. Huge mistake. I feel like I was very generous with the 3...
Read moreMy husband and I ordered a necklace to be designed. I was very specific on what I wanted. Myself and the salesman had detailed conversations about this. It came back a week late and nothing was right The design was completely off and so bad im really surprised the person who actually did the work even let it walk out their door. So I sent it back to have the work undone and was told it would take 2 weeks. It's been 3 and still don't have my necklace. We also bought a wedding set from their to be sized and soldered together. The rings came back soldered backwards. Customer service inside was good but outside of that, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere as gold and jewelry are expensive enough then to continually have to pay for their mistakes is bad business. Needless too say they just lost...
