I dropped off a computer to fixed at Staples. I was told they wouldn't get to it for 4 or 5 days. It took a week until they did. They told me it would cost $40 to diagnose the problem. I had to call to find out that it was diagnosed as Staples didn't call me as they said I would. I then came there in person for them to explain what they would need to do. He told me it was $200 to diagnose the problem, which is not what I was told. I was told $40. Therefore by that time if I took it home as is it would have cost me a couple hundred bucks, which isn't right. I was told it would be another $129.99 to put Windows 10 and 11 back on the computer, which is all that was needed to be done and to add my files back on the computer. I was told it would be done later that day or the next day. It took 3 days and had to call again to find out that it was done.
Staples then charged $500 or they wouldn't give me back my computer. That's the cost of a brand new computer that is better than the one I dropped off. They added McAfee without even getting my permission. They said that was $22 to put on. They stole my power cord that I left with the computer.
When I got home I couldn't get McAfee off my computer and my virus program back on it. Back to Staples went the computer and he refused to refund the $22 and claimed he completely got McAfee off and showed that the files were on my computer, but they were on One Drive where I had backed them up. He didn't put them there. He lied. I came home and started my computer up and within 5 minutes I had a McAfee popup. I then went on a website and McAfee was scanning. So he still did not fully get McAfee off my computer, which is one of the worst virus scanning programs out there.
Corporate lied claiming my parents came in to check on the computer and said do anything you need to do to it. My parents only came in to pick up the computer, nothing more. I was the one who came in with my mother to check on the computer and find out what had to be done and how much it would cost. Staples owes me $170.
I will never shop at Staples again and I suggest you don't either. They are a fraud company and they do not go by no hidden fees and customer satisfaction guaranteed as they claim they do.
No Staples you don't regret it or you would make it right! You don't even go by your own policies. I'll be writing a letter to the CEO,...
Read moreThis review is specifically for John who works in this store in the Electronics area. Anyone I've encounter there have always been pleasant, however this morning I needed to get a new printer after ours crashed. Typically when you walk into a store these days, you have to search for help. John was working hard and in the middle of stocking items but immediately recognized I needed help, and didn't treat me like I was bothering him at all. John was not only very helpful, professional and pleasant, but went above and beyond. Realizing I was going to purchase a new printer, John made sure I was aware that I could recycle my old printer (for a savings!!). I quickly left the store to run back home and return with my old printer. I had actually researched previously how to recycle through the brand company website (I would not have received any perks at all). Had it not been for John's kindness and integrity, he could have just let me purchase and walk out without offering that up as a savings. Thanks to John I left with an added benefit on top of the sale price. What a wonderful experience, and Staples certainly has an amazing employee in John. Thank you John for being so...
Read moreI want to first start off by saying I am a long time loyal and repeat customer to the store in Titusville Florida. I have seen many good staff come and go. I am not one for leaving reviews however this matter is very unprofessional from certain staff members. The copy center which is were I frequent the most has a new lady working there I believe her name is Kristen. On multiple occasions she was very rude not only to me but other customers waiting for other services , I also find it very unprofessional to see the Manger of the store interact with her in a way that is not appropriate. I do not think its nice to see them have a relationship (hugging, flirting ect) within a professional environment . The manger in numerous occasion talks to his staff in such a rude manner which is inappropriate as these matters should be handled behind closed doors not in front of customers . This is just not a single occasion this has been a constant situation when I come to the store and see them together at the copy center. There personal life is not my business but being a professional establishment is important to me when I come in and need to have...
