STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I had an extremely unpleasant experience with ubreakifix in Toledo. My husband and I brought in our Pixel 7 Pro phones for repair under warranty. My phone had a black spot on the screen and would freeze or shut down randomly, while my husband's phone had a shattered camera glass. The staff at ubreakifix ordered new parts for both phones, but when I picked up my phone after 4 hours (!) and it had been "repaired", a new black spot appeared within one day. This time in the middle of the screen and it was getting bigger. on top of that, my microphone was not working anymore! (why?) I brought the phone back to ubreakifix, and they ordered yet another new screen. They had my phone for 4 hours without giving me a backup phone. When I came back to pick up my phone, I was told that Google had advised them not to repair it further. I had to wait for them to remove the new screen and put the old one back on. They could've checked that in the beginning not after wasting so many hours of my time. To make matters worse, when I took my husband's phone in for repair, ubreakifix informed me that they needed to replace the screen too, and that it would be covered by the warranty. After waiting for four hours, I picked up the phone. they fixed my husband's phone but charged us $260 for it because they claimed it was physical damage, even though the camera glass breaking was a known issue with Pixel ( which is whatever I guess since they don't exactly determine the warranty policy). Two days later, the phone split in half, as they had failed to put any adhesive on the phone. When we called ubreakifix, they refused to fix my husband's phone and told us to send it to Google. We called Google, and they advised us to take the phone back to ubreakifix, but we let them know that ubreakifix had refused to fix it. We ended up mailing the phone to Google for repair. Throughout this entire process, I had to drive back and forth from Marblehead, which is an hour away from ubreakifix, multiple times. The whole experience was a complete nightmare, and I would not recommend ubreakifix to anyone. I brought my Samsung S23 Ultra in for a screen replacement, and after confirming the price, I was told the repair would take two hours. Two and a half hours later, with no updates from the store, I went in to check on the status. The technician informed me that after installing the new screen, the 5G module stopped working. Their proposed solutions were unacceptable. They offered to keep my phone overnight and until noon the following day to troubleshoot, admitting they were unsure if they could even identify the problem, as this was their "first time" working on a Samsung phone. This is particularly concerning given their status as a certified Samsung repair shop, where technicians should be trained on at least the latest models. The alternative was to reinstall my broken screen within 30 minutes. Three hours later, they informed me they couldn't even reinstall the broken screen that night, forcing me to leave my phone with them overnight. While they offered a "discount" for the inconvenience, promising 20% off and free labor, the supposedly discounted quote was identical to the original price. Read moreThis is not about the workers. Every time I have gone, they have been very nice. My problem is that the company and their system seem to be very disorganized and not customer friendly. Today is now the 3rd time I've been into the store to get my phone fixed. The 1st they couldn't help me because my phone was not covered under warranty. The 2nd time I went in I came with the proof that my phone was still under warranty and they said that couldn't do the repair that day because the guy was working by himself but he would keep the work order open so that I could come back after the weekend and drop my phone off.
Well, today was after the weekend, and I went in to drop my phone off, and they guy working said he had no record of my appointment. He checked the name and the phone number, and he even checked the phone type and said he didn't have any work orders for me phone type. Again, the workers were very nice and as helpful as they could be, but I am frustrated that I am now going on week 2 trying to get my phone repaired, and every time, it's something new.
