Usually I donât write reviews but I just wanted upper management to know how their employees carry on in the stores.
Last Sunday I went into the Firehouse subs on Monroe St. in Toledo. The girls working were all cussing and being extremely loud. Saying how they hated school and didnât want to go back. They didnât give me an attitude or anything, I just felt it was extremely unprofessional.
Today, I decided to call ahead of time so I could just run in fast and not wait. The first time I called, I said âHello, can I make a pick up orderâ. She immediately hung up on me. I called back, I said the same thing⊠I couldnât hear what she said but she had an attitude in her voice. I said âsorryâ cuz I couldnât hear her⊠she literally got loud and said âwhatâs your nameâ. It wasnât what she said (which was still rude) it was how she said it. First she yelled it, then it was with an attitude. I said âWhy are you being rude⊠she pause, then I just hung up because I was half way there already.
When I got there, I asked the gentleman was there a manager on site. He reply yes and pointed to her. I described everything I just mentioned and she blamed it on âoh we didnât know if you could hear usâ. That definitely was not the case. If so, she would have said hello can you hear me etc. The conversation was to quick to assume I couldnât hear. This was unacceptable. As a manager she should have been more professional herself and handle that differently.
Now as for the food. It was amazing. I have absolutely no complaints about that. The gentleman that took my order around 5:00 on 8/24/25 was very well mannered. He even apologized for the incident. The girl who made my sandwich was very sweet as well.
Like I said, I usually donât write reviews, I just felt upper management needed to be aware of the situation and also to show Recognition for the other...
Read moreI put in a large lunch order for the company I work for. There were 9 of us. We sent one of our co-workers over to pick up our order. When he got back the receipt showed all of our food was there. When the food order got back to our store there were orders missing, about half of it. We sent our co-worker back to get the missing orders and when he got back, we were still missing several food items. We called the store located on Monroe St. in Toledo Ohio to let them know we were still missing items, the person on the phone was rude, said it was the delivery service that messed things up (which we picked up the order) then hung the phone up abruptly. We never tried Firehouse Subs prior and thought we would go someplace different this time. Maybe the service is better with small in store orders, but the large order incompetency will have us never coming back to Firehouse Subs again. I would have thought that a restaurant offering catering would be able to handle a 9 order pick up. I understand mistakes happen but when they are handled with such unprofessionalism someone needs to...
Read moreTerrible service. We had a group of 9, 2 sandwiches came out about every 30 minutes. They forgot my husband's sandwich completely and I went to check, as everyone at the table was done with their food. At this point it had been 90 minutes since we initially ordered in the store. They said they forgot it, however, they proceeded to make 4 other sandwiches before starting on his sandwich which caused an additional 20 minute wait. When the sandwich was finally done, the employee slammed it down on the counter and walked away without saying anything. By the time we had all our sandwiches we had been in the store for over 2 hours and my husband and I hadn't even eaten. This used to be the spot we would come after every zoo trip. Used to be. Extremely disappointed and sad that I tipped well only to be treated like that by...
