We had the worst experience we've EVER had in a restaurant by far. I NEVER write reviews, and am usually very forgiving of the occasional slip up....so the fact that I'm taking the time to describe our experience says a lot. First, I questioned the waitress repeatedly about gluten/egg contents in a couple items I was interested in due to a severe allergy/medical issue. There was one meal I was interested in that she assured me contained neither. I almost felt bad asking so many times, but it's just that serious that I have to be sure. After a extremely long wait (and no offers of drink refills), lo and behold my meal is served on a huge pita. When I very nicely explained I can't eat it, she wouldn't accept that at face value and continued to suggest I just eat around it. I insisted that wasn't possible and she reluctantly said another meal would be prepared for me. We were even nice enough to PAY FOR THE MISTAKE and said we'd take it home to our son. After another HUGE wait, still no offers for drink refills, and watching her bring meal after meal out to other tables seated after us, I finally told her to just cancel the replacement (that we were also paying for)and we were ready to leave. As I went to get my wallet to retrieve a gift card, I realized it was not in my purse, so my husband went out to the car to look for it. On his way out, the waitress approached my husband and told him they were plating the meal up and going to serve it anyway and then she immediately dropped the check off at my table without the charge of the replacement meal on it. After being told they were still delivering the meal and we saw there was no charge on the bill, despite the terrible service prior to that moment, we actually did appreciate the gesture. When she came back to get the check, we asked where the extra meal was. Apparently, she changed her mind because she claimed my husband ignored her when she said they were still giving it to us. He didn't ignore her. He nodded his head and then rushed out to the car, concerned about the missing wallet. When she then refused to deliver the meal she had already promised, I told her this was a really bad experience and she did bad tonight. Her reply back was, "I will be sure to write about it in my diary," with a snotty smile on her face. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager, but she just ignored me and walked away. I approached the manager myself to explain everything that had happened and her behavior. His only response was that "we are really busy and I will talk to her about after we close." I was obviously upset and explained this goes way beyond being busy. I let him know this was not an acceptable way to treat customers and we wouldn't be returning and would also let people know how we were treated here. As we were walking out, I saw him actually approach her and she was totally smiling and laughing about what had just happened. At that point, I actually did lose my cool a little bit and when she turned around with a huge smile on her face and just saw me standing there and both of us knowing absolutely NOTHING would come of her actions, I said to her, "you think you're really cute." With that, she turned around and literally squealed, almost with delight, "did you hear what she just said to me?!!" We were beyond nice and fair at the beginning, but the experience we had in return was extremely rude and totally unprofessional. In the end, we didn't find the wallet until I came home and had to pay "out of pocket" for our meals. Sadly, a $50 gift card is going to be wasted because that is how strongly I feel about NEVER stepping into this establishment again. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I DO...
Read moreTonight I was part of a party of seven. We were seated right away and our waitress, Juanita #9, was very friendly and attentive in getting all our drink orders in and then promptly took our food orders. One of tonight's specials was 14 ozs of filet mignon with two sides for only $12.95. I couldn't pass that up, so I gave it a try and am I ever glad I did. The meat was juicy and cooked just the way I like it (I swear it had to be over a pound). One of the sides I ordered was chicken noodle soup. I expected that it would have been served in a cup since it is a side dish. But the bowl Juanita brought out to me was as big as Grandma's mixing bowl. You know, the one she used in baking the Christmas cookies she'd make for you every year. But back to the soup. I don't know how one can get excited about chicken noodle soup. But I must say it was chock full of noodles, chunks of tender white chicken meat, was nicely seasoned, and still steaming hot when it reached my table. Everyone else in my party enjoyed what they ordered and most ended up taking leftovers home since the portion sizes were so generous. I'm sure I'll be back here again. Based on other reviews I read, I'd like to come back when they're serving breakfast. I want to try their...
Read moreI've been going here for years, but after a bad experience the last time I went, it's been a while for me to come back, definitely haven't been there since the beginning of the pandemic. That being said, when I went there today, oh my. I know that changing regulations have been hard on restaurants, but really. They have no concept of social distancing whatsoever. All of their tables are still in use, definitely not 6ft apart, and the sad plexiglass partitions between their booths have like a 3-4inch gap between the booth and the start of the plexiglass which really defeats the purpose. Our waitress was nice but also was not wearing her mask properly (under her nose). This is the only restaurant that I've been to that still leaves their salt/pepper shakers on the tables as well, and having watched one of the waiters clean a table, they are definitely not wiped down between customers. The food was fine, but the longer we stayed there the more I wished that I would have just stayed home. The whole restaurant just felt so dirty and grimy. I very much doubt that I will ever...
