Frustrated with this location. Drove all the way across town. Hauled my toddler in to return a 4 pack of drawer pulls because 3 out of the 4 were broken. I brought back the 3 broken ones. I showed the receipt. I used the one that worked, it was at home. Instead of allowing me to grab a new pack, I was told I needed the 4th drawer pull to be able to refund or exchange. I questioned, “even though you sold me a broken pack?” Yep. Need the 4th. So, here I am driving all the way back across town to get the 4th pull from home. If you sell something broken, you need to gladly replace. Having to return because you sold a broken product is already an inconvenience. Don’t inconvenience your customer more.
So update, I involved headquarters. Headquarters told me the CSM said she thought the broken one was at home! I showed and told two people, the cashier and CSM, 3 are broken, here are the 3, and had the receipt.
I called the manager. WOW. Not a professional tone on the phone. She told me I did need a complete pack to return. I said, that’s not what your policy says. For future reference, ANY defective item in store with a receipt gets a full refund or exchange. I attached. Not impressed with the professionalism in this store. They do not know their...
Read moreHobby Lobby have a beautiful long garland (tiny green leaves)at regular price of $19.99, i didnt buy those cus the price was out of my budget. Then I found in clearance 6 smal pieces of the same kind of garland on 90%off clearance shelves for $.99 ticket each.So i grab all of those and direct myself to the register, the girl at the register said is $19.99 and i said - wait, what? those have tickets for $.99 each and was on 90% off clearance doesnt supposed to be less than $.99 each?.. Another employee was there and told the cashier the 90%off was already taken from the original price ending in $.99 each. So I was little confused at that moment but i didnt want to hold the line up.I just pay the $6.00 for all. When i was home and pull out my receipt cus something wasnt clear to me and i start thinking about it and finally realized that i make a bad purchase, QUESTION TO THE HOBBY LOBBY MANAGEMENT PEOPLE. IF A BRAND NEW LONG GARLAND COST $19.99 BUT 90% OFF of THAT PRICE IS ONLY $2. WHY THOSE SEPARATED SECTIONS ON CLEARANCE COST ME $.99 EACH???... AT LEAST GIVING ME THE 90% OFF FOR THE 6 PIECES OF SAME KIND OF GARLAND COULD MAKE IT FAIR ENOUGH. BUT INSTEAD I HAD TO PAY $6 something. I REALLY DONT THINK IS FAIR. I WASNT HAPPY CUS I LOVE...
Read moreHad a very unpleasant experience while attempting to make a return. The woman assisting me was extremely unprofessional. While I understand returns can be stressful, the attitude she gave me was completely unnecessary. Speaking to a customer in a condescending manner is unacceptable.
As someone who previously worked at Hobby Lobby handling returns, I know firsthand that it’s possible to manage these situations respectfully and professionally. Her behavior was so off-putting that I stopped what I was doing just to process how rude she was being.
This is especially disappointing considering I was told at the time of purchase that if anything didn’t work out, I could simply bring it back. I came back to the same store expecting a smooth process, and instead, I was treated poorly. And to laugh at a customer is odd especially at their big age.
It’s very telling of the kind of customer service being tolerated at this location. I have already sent an email out about this giving the name of the employee, store number and all. But I would like to escalate this issue to higher...
