Cenas Kitchen — Restaurant in Tomball

Cenas Kitchen is trying really hard to make their mark. Service is really good. The chips are a little thick but served warm with a green and red salsa. The red isn't too spicy and very tomato forward. The green is very thick and mildly spiced. Our table ordered the mango shrimp salad and chicken fajitas. The shrimp salad comes with a sweet ginger dressing. It's a very sweet vinaigrette but you can request it to be on the side. The salad is presented beautifully with plenty fanned avocado slices, mango and large grilled shrimp. There were cucumber and tomato chunks hidden underneath along with iceberg lettuce. The majority of the mango was very under ripe. Don't get me wrong, I prefer my fruit a little sour/sweet but this mango was crunchy. The chicken fajitas came with borracho beans, rice with small diced carrots, sour cream, quac and pico. The fajitas were beautifully plated and tasted great. The chicken was thin and dried out before we were finished eating. Again, this place is trying very hard. Our server made a point to say he was going to show the kitchen the rejected mango so they could do better which tells me this place wants...

When we arrived we had to wait for a table to be cleaned to be seated. Not because they were busy, but because half of the restaurant had vacant but dirty tables. And they remained dirty and covered with dishes and glasses, half baskets of chips napkins. It was very distracting and unpleasant to look at. We expected that they would be cleared as we were there and placed our order. But no. We were surrounded by 7 dirty tables on the Restaurant side, the bar side was the same. And it only became worse as other customers left their tables were left in attended. I wish now I would have taken some photos but I did not. A few tables were finally cleared but also as people departed there were always 7 or more dirty tables on our side. There appeared to be no bus boy. The waitress did not clear dishes as people finished with their meals. I have to say we have been here many times before the name was changed. Never had I seen anything like this. This is our second time under the new name. And we plan to give it one more shot in a week or so. But won't be back if it is like this again. It was a...

Our first time visiting here. The chips and salsa were so good! Kinda reminded me of the green salsa at Casa ole!! And lemme tell you i know flavor… bc cooking is a passion of mine. We got the kids chicken quesadillas with the beef fajitas and margaritas 🙌 we usually steer away from favored frozen margs bc of the sweetness after the second one. she is learning bartending and is also a server. This little young lady had outstanding service skills! She was very attentive and on top of it! Make sure my kiddos were happy especially my special needs son! For someone her age to be paying her own bills I just can’t say enough good things about her, and her personality!! This restaurant is lucky to have someone like you! Young and always smiling and knew how to make some great tasting drinks.
