Taste Of Asia Mega Buffet — Restaurant in Tomball

What can I say about this, out of the ten thousand Chinese buffets? This is the only one I've been to that Garner a 5 states from me, most rank a 3 at Best. We went at an off time, usually a horrible time to go to ANY buffet, BUT the food was fresh, and very well seasoned. I've been to Chinese buffets in 12 different states, this ranks at the top so far. Let's get this straight, this is typical Americanized Chinese food, but it's the best so far. The server was on the ball, the owner is friendly, and approachable, the restaurant itself? While being the same cliche Chinese buffet atmosphere, here, it's not overwhelming, it's big, but clean. The stream tables were gently releasing steam, something you want to see at ANY buffet, let's you know it's keeping the food hot. The food, that's the reason you're reading this right? It's great, very well seasoned, not overly, but not scared of seasoning their food, which is great. As we sat there someone was coming out to check on the buffet, and stirring things as they should be, it's very well taken care of. Will we go back? For a free meal lol jk. We definitely will be going back, as matter of pure fact, we'd go back even if they raised the price a couple bucks, yes, it's THAT worth it. I've eaten at buffets costing lots more, and gotten much less. So should you go? Yes, I recommend this buffet 100 percent. My Wife and I ate here earlier tonight (Saturday), around 8pm. The food was cold. Most of the food was NOT good. $40 for 2 people to eat this food at this place should be a CRIME

There was a few things that were okay, like the egg rolls and crab puffs. Everything else (sesame chicken, general tso chicken, pepper steak, mongolian beef, noodles, rice, ect) was not only cold but tasted bad.

Another thing, the bathrooms were plain NASTY. There was literally urine all over the toilets (both) and the floor (picture included). It was DISGUSTING.

The scoop that is used for the ice cream looks like acid was eating away at it (picture included). The system for ice cream is BAD. We watched as person after person reached into the freezer and scooped their own ice cream into their little bowls. Did these people wash their hands before? Hell...have they even washed their hands in the last 24 hours? WHO KNOWS?!

I would not be surprised if several people have gotten sick after eating here. This is NOT a place we will ever eat again. Food was COLD. Food tasted BAD. Place was DIRTY & GROSS.

This place should be shut down. I will say, the waitress was very nice and did get a tip. I do not blame the wait staff for these issues, so there is no reason they...

Came here thinking it maybe a great buffet being it was above 3 stars average. Well... I was sorely mistaken. Most of the food was Luke warm to cold. Let’s start with main dishes.

Chicken that was grilled wasn’t half bad but was offed by the fact that it was cold. The chicken that was fried however was bad I mean bad! That goes for the fried seafood also. Seafood was not great either. Salmon was a white color when it should be pink. Shrimp and fried shrimp wasn’t to bad and the sushi tasted like it had been out for hours and was quickly spit back out into a napkin.

Dessert So I can honestly say that none of the desserts were good. Anything baked was very dry and the ice cream tasted off. Really all I can say.
