Where do I start? First, I wish I could give ZERO stars. I brought my iPhone 14 pro to them for a rear glass replacement because they offered a "premium part" with the apple logo, unlike some other locations around town. They were charging $50 more than some other shops, but I was willing to pay that extra for a more OEM type of glass. They replaced the glass in around 2 hours, without issue, or so I thought. They also had me sign an acceptance of the repaired phone and tried to push me to give them a 5 star google review. On my way home, I attempted to do a voice to text and the mic was not working. I connected my airpods and it worked over bluetooth. I then disconnected my airpods and tested a voice memo. It did not work, so I called them. They told me to come back in and they pulled the screen off to check the internals. This process took another hour and they determined that something probably happened to the mic module while they were removing the damaged rear glass. They told me that they would replace the mic module the next day at noon. I dropped in at noon the next day and was told that they still didn't have the part, to come back at 2:30. I called to verify before going and they confirmed they had it. When I arrived, they started to tell me that this isn't an Apple part so I will receive a message about the non Apple part. I was just a little bit irritated at this point, but what was my alternative other than to take it to Apple and pay their outrageous repair cost. It's my understanding that they likely won't replace the part but offer an out of warranty replacement for something in the neighborhood of $700 or so. Cellairis opened my phone and proceeded to replace the mic module, but it did not fix the issue. I was then told that it's probably an issue on the motherboard and that they can fix it but it "will take time". I asked how much time and they told me that they will have to keep my phone for several days. I told them that I don't have much faith in their ability to fix it, and left. Now what do I do? I guess I'll have to go to Apple for an out of warranty repair, which it is my understanding that for an issue like this they will offer a replacement refurbished phone for something in the neighborhood of $700. IF ONLY APPLE WOULD MAKE THEIR REPAIR COSTS A LITTLE BIT MORE REASONABLE. $500 for rear glass replacement is about half the cost of the new phone. Imagine replacing the windshield on your car costing half of the purchase price. Even after all of this, they didn't even try to offer my money back on the glass, which was the cause of damage to my internals. It was either the laser or heatgun that they used to remove the glass/adhesive. TLDR: I should have gone to Apple for their $500 rear glass replacement in the first place. Bite the bullet and take your Apple device to Apple for repairs. I think that it is only fair that they replace my phone, or maybe I will file in small claims court or against their...
Read moreHe did fix my phone but don't be fooled that this is going to be a decent price because it's in Walmart. It's a horrible price. Add to that, I paid cash, as in green bills and I was charged a $4.80 processing fee. When we discussed the price, I was super disappointed by the initial quote, I had to say no way. The second quote was slightly better but he said only plus tax. I have a feeling that in that agreement I signed, there is a processing fee but I was very specific that I was on a budget and it was dishonest, at best, to withhold the processing fee I'm then quote. I didn't get a good vibe from the beginning. I really wish I would've just walked away but my phone was opened and it wasn't working at all due to a faulty battery. He did fix the phone but the price was not worth it. He had some other stuff in there that I wanted to come back for but I won't be and also, my sister has the same phone, which is an iPhone 12. She's having problems with her battery so now I'm going to tell her to go anywhere else. In the end, I really wish when he quoted me an astronomical price to start, I would've just left, went to the Apple Store and waited for two days if necessary. If you have plenty of money and it's not an issue, I can understand but for me, that's not the case. I was upfront with him and I really wish he would've been upfront with me. Oh well, lesson learned and a place I will...
Read moreUpdate: Phone screen was not working so I took it in. They put a new screen on. I left a 5 star review due to the speed of service and I thought the phone was fixed. (Also, they said if I showed them a good review, they would give me a free screen protector and a discount on products. This is obviously how they are getting the 5 star reviews.) However when I plugged it in to charge, the screen started glitching. I wasn't sure what was wrong so I just unplugged the phone. For a few days after that, the screen would glitch when plugged in and right after unplugging. I had the phone in my purse to bring it back to them, and in my purse, not dropped the new screen got a tiny crack in the corner. I took the phone back showing the poor screen quality and glitching. They said I would have to pay another full amount for the screen to be replaced again with what I am sure is a poor quality screen since it had a tiny crack. They would not fix it despite the replaced screen never working correctly. Poor products and biased reviews! Don't trust.
