Don’t be like me. I should have known better and trusted my instinct. Just stay away.
I initially left a one-star review without adding commentary, and the owner replied stating I was 100% satisfied with my sectional. Pretty bold of him to assume that. So now I’ll go ahead and add the details of our frustrating, and quite shocking, experience.
To make an incredibly long (I’m talking months long) story short, it took several days longer than expected to actually receive our furniture. When I inquired (multiple times, mind you) about the expected delivery, I would get excuses each time that were conveniently out of the owner’s control about why it was taking so long. When we finally received our sectional, not only was it not what we purchased, it was the floor model from the showroom and it had a huge rip in the back of it. So, instead of just being honest that Curt, the owner, had likely just promised us a customized sectional that he couldn’t deliver, he tried to pull a fast one on us by just sending us what he already had.
Through multiple phone calls about whether or not we would actually be receiving what we purchased, and receiving the run-around about replacement sections and/or having a repair person out to our home, I realized that I was dealing with someone who truly had no regard for how his shady and dishonest business practices were affecting his customers.
At one point in one of our conversations, I reminded him of a “promise” he had made to me, only for him to completely deny it, AND say something along the lines of “that’s fine, we have recording devices at the store and of our phone calls, so I can just pull that up.” First of all, there was no disclaimer at the start of any of our phone calls mentioning that calls were being recorded. Second of all, even if he somehow did have everything recorded and documented, we still would have come to the conclusion that he was lying. So, no, a threat of “checking the cameras” or “checking the recordings” didn’t worry me a single bit. In fact, it was laughable.
In the end, after months of waiting, we finally received the replacement section. But in the meantime, while doing some research, I ended up finding the exact same sectional online through another retailer for nearly half the price of what Red Tag charged, despite it allegedly being on sale. Unfortunately, the return/refund window had already passed, so we were stuck with the huge price tag (yes, I know I should have done my research beforehand) and the huge disappointment of knowing we were completely bamboozled and taken advantage of by every person involved in the selling and purchasing of this piece of furniture.

Read moreThis place is an actual joke I made my first purchase as a brand new home owner. I listened to everything and bought same day because I thought it was an amazing deal. The couch broke with in 2 months. My floor is ruined from the recliner scratching it. I have called the company to fix it. Every single time Vicky or the supposed owner call me and talk me and I get no where. After complaining I finally had a guy come out who said it can’t be fixed and parts would be ordered. Months after that. Still no fix. The couch sits in my guest room in pieces because of all the damage it has done and I have no couch in my living room. This last time I just called and was told my account has no notes. Vicky is laughing at me and gas lighting me telling me she’s never talked to me. “I find it hard to believe I’ve talked to you if I’m rarely ever here”. She asked who came to my house after I described him as not Asian she mumbled under her breath that she didn’t know him. All she tells me every single time is to send pictures of the couch and the damages. I’m happy to leave a review every single day until this is fixed. I run my own business and I 100% trusted this place and gave them so much patience. I spoke with VICKY September 27th 2023 where Vicky herself texted me and says “this is Vicky from red tag. Read moreThe women who run this place should win an award for customer service. I will never again deal with the snobbery of name brand stores. Reyna was so knowledgeable about mattresses and how they work with specific body aches. She was so patient with us laying on everything. She even taught us about the five minute rule of testing mattresses. We were there for a long time and she didn't hover over us but also made sure that we didn't feel like she forgot us. We did end up trading out our originally purchased mattress because the first one wasn't a good fit but even that process was incredibly easy. When you call the store you get a real person and they walk you through everything. Even the delivery guys were very polite and helpful.
