Jest.. Poor customer service Propane issues
Want details read..
One star because there will not be a third chance to be disappointed again by this store.
My last experience was Friday March 24th about 3:30 pm. It began with a simple call to store to make sure they had propane to fill my 3 15lb tanks. The woman who answered was kind and sounded like she was going to put me on hold to find out if in deed there was propane. After holding for exactly 10 min's I hung up and called back. The second call was answered by a gentleman who quickly told me yes there was propane available. I loaded up my 1 and half year old. Got to store went in any proceed to feed area. I was looking for rabbit feed. Being that this was only my second trip I was unsure where to find it. An employee practly watched me and my baby walk up and down each one of the isles mind you majority of isles had huge pallets of feed in the way so my travels through the maze was quite difficult and frustrating... The employee working this area never acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. Eventually I decided to ask for help but now the employee is gone. I hunt him down. He was chatting with another customer. I waited for a moment again this same employee never acknowledged me even though he just seen me and baby in his mess feed. Eventually I interupted him and apologized and asked if he could tell me where the feed was. For a moment he seemed OK to help me but when it came time to work our way thru the maze of feed he was just really indifferent and really was not interested helping me get to the right location with my buggy. After walking down and around another isle coming up behind the employee he basically just pointed at the two different brands and said they were here. I choose the product and had to ask for him to help me get it in buggy. I got a feeling that this was an irritant for him but he picked the bag up and dumped it in my cart. The way it was placed made me afraid the the cart would tip over with my baby inside it. Thankful it did not I proceed to check out.
There were 2 register's open but there was about 6 customers trying to check out. Once I got to register that's when I was taught that you fill propane first. Get a ticket. Then come back inside.
So I checked out with what I had. Then went to truck dropped of items purchased then carried my three tanks to area to be filled.
End result. They were out of propane. It took over 15 min and 2 employees but I was about to get about 7 gallons of popane. I still have to go somewhere else to get the other filled. This is the second time I have had issue with no propane there. Even though I called.
It will never happen to me again.
I understand that the people are not in control of the propane management but customer service would have confirmed that the tank in the store was empty.
Customer service would have also helped me avoid all the mess in...
Read moreRudeness abounds here! I will never set foot in this store again. I went to this Farm Supply store yesterday to decide what kind of galvanized containers I want to use for the garden at my new home. I was treated with such indifference and rudeness that I decided on something smaller just so I could get it at Lowes or Home Depot and wouldn't have to spend my money there. I know the problem is deeper because it was a manager that was so rude to me.
When I asked where the large galvanized containers were, the man just pointed at the door to indicate they were all outside. He didn't offer to come with me or help me. He didn't even ask me what I wanted to do with them. I went outside and was a little overwhelmed but found something that was a little smaller nested inside a bigger tank. After wrestling it out, I realized it didn't have a price on it. Leave it to me to want the only item without a price.
I went back inside to ask the man (this was a manager, not just a teen worker). I told him which one I thought it was and he was immediately irritated. This guy should NOT be dealing with the public. He was rude in both words and body language. Letting me know in every way that I was bothering him. When he looked it up he said it was $85 dollars. I was surprised since it was substantially smaller than the other tanks that were $89. I said so and his answer was, "I can sell 500 of the bigger ones as opposed to the few I can sell to people like you." People like me? I asked if he was sure of that and asked if maybe he could come outside he said he was sure and walked away. As I watched him walk away, I began to seethe with anger and went back outside.
I was just trying to get the most square feet of container garden space and actually wanted to duplicate a garden I saw on Pintrest that used several of the large rectangular livestock tanks. I know I'm not a farmer or a rancher buying in bulk but there are LOTS of people with kitchen gardens in this area and with people wanting to eat healthy, there will be more. I will find somewhere more friendly and helpful to do my garden shopping...
Read moreOn 8 July 2024 at approximately 356 pm I came to this location for a gas can due to hurricane damage and so I could refuel my generator during this difficult time. Jacob helped me out and I was checked out by Ashlynn.
At approximately 6pm I elected to purchase another one for a neighbors. I called and spoke to a female later identified as Ashlynn who advised me over the telephone they had none. I decided to verify that in person. I entered store at approximately 615 pm and was greeted by Ashlynn and male by the name of Scott; later identified as manager. I observed several gas cans on floor at front register. I asked to purchase one and Scott replied those are for other customers. He then looked at me in an aggressive manner fueled with frustration. I advised him I had just called prior to my arrival and was informed they had none by a female. He stated you must have called this morning; I informed him it was approximately 30 min ago. Not believing me I asked “you don’t trust me” and said you want to see what time it was and he said “ yea!!!!” I showed him my cellphone which was date and time stamped with their number. He then informed another employee by the name of Jacob to go to the back and get me one. I felt very disrespected in front of other customers on his condescending and belittling mannerisms towards me. This is totally wrong to be treated this way by a manager who certainly needs some retraining in customer services especially during a time of a disaster when emotions are certainly running rapidly for relief. I took Scott to the side at which time he acted in this manner because he wanted Ashlynn to hear that I had called and she said they had no gas cans for sale. This still did not make it right on how he acted towards me in front of other customers. I don’t expect this type of treatment in a small country town. As a disabled veteran we are taught to set the stage with Dignity and respect thru professionalism and you can’t go wrong. Maybe Scott should learn...
