I almost died from allergy to seafood in a "chicken buffet". I thought i picked all types of chicken, but there was one meat that was called "pollock", also there was NO labels on each food to pick up in the buffet.
In conclusion, if you want to go to a buffet, but you are allergic to any types of seafood, be careful with this one.
Update: I went to the #199 version of the buffet, so idk about the #179 one.
Update: my review still stands, if the label was there in the buffet trays, and one of the associate accidentally put different meat in the wrong label, that is the associates mistake . But if the store go to the route of not putting the sign on any of the meat buffet, that is the stores mistake. Every other buffets has labels in each tray, so why not hartz? There was only one associate at that time, and he was busy with checkout, so what's the point of asking the cashier everytime what type of meat is in each tray, that would be VERY time consuming.
I'll reconsider my review if the store can at least put warning signs of food allergy, so that would save people from the trip to the hospital, luckily I made it home safe while I was recovering from...
Read moreI had an absolutely outstanding experience at Hartz Chicken Buffet! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting aroma of freshly cooked Southern comfort food hit me, and it only got better from there.
The buffet was clean, well-stocked, and full of mouthwatering options: perfectly crispy fried chicken, fluffy mashed potatoes, seasoned greens, fresh rolls, and don’t even get me started on the peach cobbler — heaven in a bowl. You can taste the love in every bite.
But what truly made my visit unforgettable was Maya, the supervisor. Maya was not only professional and attentive, but her positive energy lit up the entire room. She made sure every guest felt welcome and taken care of, checking in with a smile and ensuring the buffet was always full and fresh. You can tell she takes pride in her work, and it shows. Her leadership clearly brings out the best in the staff, and it made the whole dining experience feel like being part of a big, happy family.
If you’re craving delicious, down-home cooking served with genuine hospitality, do yourself a favor and visit Hartz Chicken Buffet — and make sure to say hello to Maya. She’s the heart...
Read moreRecommended by good friends of ours to try this place out next time we were in Tomball . So happened we were passing by Hartz and decided to stop . Parking is a bit tight . Handycap parking in front and a good size parking area . Went through a set of double doors . Noticed immediately the restrooms were there . Went through second set of double doors into restaurant. First thing I noticed was how clean place was , and how spacious . The long Island as you enter is immaculate and very well stocked with salads , fruit jello BBQ chicken , rice pudding And an assortment of goodies . What I couldn't find was Mac and cheese or maybe they were out . The fried chicken was delicious. But what I was after was the chicken gizzard and the chicken livers . To die for . Needless to say I was really impressed. But hey , don't take my word for it . Try it for yourself . And they have waited cleaning the tables when you are done eating . This place deserves a 5 star rating or...
