Rent-A-Center — Local services in Tooele

I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.if I could give less than 1 star I would. I was looking to get my son a full bedroom set including mattress and get Myself a bed frame and possibly a living room setup as well. Was on the phone with a woman at the Tooele Utah location, I believe her name was amber and she was trying very hard to get me to commit over the phone. I told her I was already headed that direction and that it would Be better if I picked up my son and brought him in with me. She kept reminding me that they were about to close in the next 45 mins and repeatedly made it Very clear that even if I was there before They closed that there was no way in hell she was going to start an agreement that close to closing time and that she would not stay 1 min past 6 pm and was really rude about it. She just made it feel like a huge inconvenience for her to help me and I told her that if it was such an inconvenience that I would just go somewhere else and she rudely responded by saying “good,that’s up to you bud” I absolutely will not ever do business at this place and highly recommended people to steer clear and to not even waste your time going into the Tooele location….. I am now going to take my business somewhere else and won’t ever step foot im another rent a center again. Amber is a very poor representation for this business and seriously has zero customer service skills and was completely rude and acted inconvenienced that I wanted to do business there. I made the order online. A representative text me the next day to confirm my order. I was moving on Saturday and asked if I could pick up the couch then. I was told to pick up the couch between 3 & 5. At about 4:30 on Saturday, I called to let them know I was running late. I was then advised that the couch had not been picked up from the other store and was not at my local store. The manager had no idea what I was talking about. I told the manager that I would only have the truck for that day and asked if the couch could be delivered. He advised me it wouldn’t be until Tuesday. I arranged to work from home that day. I received a text message that my couch would be delivered on the 16th which was Monday. It never came. I was home all day Tuesday and at about 4:30 I called again. They advised me that it was noted in the system that I would be picking up the couch. I told him I had no way of getting it picked up and that it was supposed to be delivered. He had the driver bring the couch. Only one driver for a 3 piece sectional. We ended up having to help him move the couch into our home. The driver was really nice and I know it wasn’t his fault. If I could leave a negative number I would. We had family over this passed Christmas 2022 so we rented 2 queen beds. The delivery driver came to deliver both beds on his own . Which is fine if he was actually careful in how he was handling his dolly and bed frames down my stairs. The delivery driver because he was too lazy to carry his dolly up my stairs decided to drag them up my stairs banging each step on the way up. We asked pls pickup up your dolly you’re damaging our stairs . I have lvp flooring. He said” oh gosh it’s gonna be one of them days”… I then showed him all the damage he left behind he had no problem and said oh I’ll file a claim for it. As if he does this a lot. Well it’s a month later no one has called to follow through with my claim the manager of rent a center says it’s out of her hands she can’t do anything. I’ve called sedgewig which is their insurance many times and no response . My stairs continues to fall apart because of the damage he created and whenever someone goes up or down the stairs it continues loosen boards.
