Walgreens — Local services in Topeka

I had my doctors office phone in a prescription there on Thursday at 4:30 PM. I stopped by at about 5:30 PM and it was not ready. They told me if I would like to wait it will be ready in about 20 minutes. When I showed up the next day they hadn't even begun filling the prescription. It still was not ready. The girl running the drive thru, Daylene, simply said there was a problem with your insurance. Didn't explain. Didn't give an eta or anything. She kind of acted like it was my fault. She kind of acted like I should know better. It wasn't until I went inside and talked to a manager that anyone in the pharmacy even acted like they cared at all and it was only then did I get an explanation as to what was wrong with the insurance. My biggest question was why didn't they call me and explain this yesterday. I was told they did not have time. I think it is silly they did not have time for a 30 second phone call. I don't think that is very good...

Wish I could give 0 stars. I prepayed for my prescription and was double charged. Now it's been 5 days and never got my money back for a perscription that they doubled charged for. When I called I was blamed and told I needed to just wait a week for the charge to expired. Rediculas. This location has gone majorly downhill. The shelves are never stocked and the crew has become so rude. Tells me right away that they don't care about their customers anymore. Don't waste your time at this location. Go to 10th and gage. They have a cleaner store, nicer employees, and I've never been "accidentally" double charged for a single thing. Will never no here again. Also, never use their express pay. They double charged my card, told me it takes 7 days to refund. Then I was told on day 9 it takes 30 days for a refund. Then I was told 10 days for a refund. Seems pretty obvious that no one knows what they are...

I absolutely hate this location. High prices and not many options on product selection. Staff can be unwelcoming at times, I think personally, they don't like their job Honestly. I have been going to this location for over a full year regularly, and this is only because I have no car. They still ask for ID to sell me tobacco products which shows how much attention is paid to the customer. This store is straight Hood Ratchet compared to all the other Walrgreens in town. If I had a choice would completely avoid this location, unfortunatley not an option for me. On the plus side -there are a couple girls up there that are very nice and helpful (maybe 2). They often do a price mark down to extremely low prices you just gotta catch it. And they stay open...
