I use to absolutely love this place. Very good and fresh but every time I’ve been in this past year it’s been terrible. Tonight at dinner time we went in and there was virtually nothing on the buffet and they knew it. No rice no beef and broccoli and quite a few other items. During the time we were there they put two items out fresh none of the main foods. The egg drop soup was even horrible. Idk how you mess that up. What they did have was old and nasty. Then we get up to pay and even after our complaints they took $2 off only. I’m sorry but that should have been at least 50% off. When you can’t even get a full buffet or food that’s not sat there for ever you shouldn’t have to pay full price. Maybe if they’d apologized, which when we complained nothing was said, and given it at least 50% off or free considering we really couldn’t eat it we may have come back but after today’s experience we will never be back no matter what day or time. Lunch and dinner time should be completely fresh food. Honestly I would give no...
Read moreBuffet price is super cheap. Without soda, after tax, at the right times, it's under $10 (I got a soda tho). Not a wide variety of menu options, but food quality was the best chinese I've ever had. Even the rice was good, & that says a lot! The soda was cold & fizzy, but not as cold or fizzy as it could be. The atmosphere is GOOD. They also have jalapeno chicken, which most chinese places don't have, so that's an added plus. Service was bad. Not a single refill of soda & took forever for pick up of used plates, only 3 times (it started to rectify toward the end. It was the same for soda after asking for a refill) They're probably busy wih the delivery carriers & order window & under staffed, seemingly family or simply chinese employees. I only count 3 or 4 staff from what I have seen). Found bone in fish. Potatoes were dried out, but still tasted ok, just not as good as usual. Tried almost all menu options, not much to dislike. Overall, a great place to eat. Pepper in eggdrop soup, mmm good. They will fill ur...
Read moreThe service was great. food was really good. We went here on a whim because I am traveling with a toddler who loves rice and noodle anything right now. I will be coming back EVERYTIME I visit topeka. They have a drive-through available. For the price of a meal at Panda Express, you can get quality food "all you can eat" for my 2 year old and I, I spent less than $10. Staff was kind and helpful. Signs, menus, front desk, and overall atmosphere are in big need of an update, but I would ignore it for the food.
I recommend the Jalepeno chicken. It was sweet and a tiny bit spicy. So good (I think anyone could eat it. It's not really very spicy, just a tiny bit of extra heat flavor)
Accessibility ♿️: 3/5 parking and entrance were wheel chair friendly. The tables are good, but the bathroom is not! Kid friendly: 3/5 kids 2 and under are free, and I think 3-5 year olds are like $4 for the buffet. There is no changing table in the bathroom. They have booster and high chair options but not kid friendly...
