Learn moreWhen we were seated the server asked about our drinks, my wife ordered coffee and water. I ordered coffee water no ice. Thirty seconds later we both got ice water. 5 minutes later we got our coffee, Luke warm and bitter. We started browsing the menu and was shocked by the prices, even for a local joint, 12 dollars for an 8.99 meal at any other local restaurant is ridiculous. I ordered the one egg, 2 bacon, 4 "dollar" sized pancakes for 7.50. Way overpriced! But knowing that wouldn't fill the void I also ordered 1 biscuits and gravy, for 3.99. My wife ordered the 2 pancakes, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, and hash browns. She specifically stated to burn the bacon and the hasbrowns, also asking for diet syrup $12. When the food came my sausage gravy looked pink. I tried a bit and noticed it wasn't sausage gravy at all but canned corned beef hash gravy. My wife noticed her bacon was floppy not burnt. And the server forgot the diet syrup. Mind you there are only a dozen people in the restaurant at the time, so not busy at all. She kindly reminded the server about the diet syrup and asked for "butter", I also requested a butter. The sever came back with margarine, that is definitely not butter. The pancakes were marginal at best. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy were the Sam Club special and so was the Gravy. For a place that charges so much for the food, the least you could do is make everything from scratch. Everything was a boxed powdered pre-made mess. And if a person asks for butter don't bring margarine. If you want a better restaurant here in town check out any other local restaurant, or at least go to Denny's or iHop. At least there they will get your order right you'll get more food and it will cost less. Our total was 29 buck + 6 dollar tip. So 35 bucks, so two people ate there for 17.50 a person. Think about that mesh it with there inability to listen and get an order correct. They don't even deserve a star. I have a hard time believing anyone would rate this place over 3 stars. And the only way they would get that is due to there lunch prices being...
Read moreAn incredible breakfast experience. We visited Hanover Pancake House on our cross country move to Florida when our hotel stopped serving breakfast. This restaurant was wonderfully comfortable, it gives you that home restaurant feel. Sitting down looking at the decor, being assisted by some of the friendliest staff I've had the pleasure of dealing with and tasting the incredible food, I was instantly transported to my favorite diner in my hometown. However, and this takes some strength to say, I'd have to say this was even better. We recieved the Chicken Fried Steak Bowl and Vegetable omelet in surprisingly fast amount of time, but this didn't detract from the quality. Being from the South, I'm always a bit critical of an establishment's chicken fried steak. This was incredibly tender, smothered in perfectly seasoned gravy and complimented the fluffy eggs and rich cheese well. The vegetable omelet was delicate and stuffed with a generous helping of spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes. Good omelets are surprisingly hard to come by, and this item was far above just good. This was incredible. I almost felt bad paying as little as I did for this food. The service was extremely attentive without being pushy or bothersome in the least. We paid, got wished a safe trip and left with full, happy bellies feeling that much more fulfilled than when we arrived. Thank you for your service and the incredie meals. Compliments to all...
Read moreIt was a very busy morning, we had a 30 min wait, which was okay. They had an app that put you in line for your wait and you could go sit in your car or wait outside and know exactly where you were in line, it was a nice touch for a small family restaurant. The waitress was busy but nice and a young lady brought our drinks and she was my one complaint about the service. I order a soda and when the young lady brought it she was carrying it from the top where you drink from the glass if you don't use a straw, this day I did for sure use a straw. I ordered eggs, bacon and pancakes. The eggs and bacon came out first. They had good flavor but the food was barely warm, but it was a late breakfast so I ate them. Then came the pancakes, they were a little warmer but you barely touched them with your fork and they were falling apart which made it a bit of a pain to eat. Lastly the one complaint I have about the price I asked for a little bit of peanut butter and they brought me some for my pancakes but the price was almost the price of a small jar of name brand peanut butter, which when I go back I will have in my pocket so I don't have to pay that crazy of a price for it. My wife had B&G, HB, bac & eggs w/gr peppers & onion. She said it was all good except it was all Luke warm except the B&G it was good and the best she had had in a while. The prices were not bad besides the one item, I will...
