Evergy Plaza — Attraction in Topeka

Smart Topekans that frequent the "newish" awesome outdoor venue that Evergy has provided for the fortune residents of Topeka to enjoy these Thursday pm concerts for free, under their "Eats & Beats" music series that runs every summer from June - September, have bragging rights now & a super enjoyable place to come together & rock out to live music of many fantastic musicians. We are blessed because Lawrence does not have such a wonderful place to enjoy & my friend, Carol, from Lawrence High (class of '77), feels the need to drive over to Topeka weekly to enjoy since outstanding live bands to make her feel more alive & happy! We are certainly fortunate Topeka & if you're not coming there weekly with your sunglasses, Chair & friends, then buying some great beverages, snacks, sweets & main dish entrees from some of the region's best food trucks there, YOU ARE MISSING OUT BIG TIME & you only have...

My how this place has declined. In the past, we would go 3-4 times a month. This year has been so disappointing we've only been 3 times all year.

First, they make you wait to hear what food trucks and entertainment will be there until a few days before. I like to plan out more than that.

Second, the food trucks are the same. Very little variety. The music has been average to below average at best.

Their drink options have declined drastically.

I'm guessing they have new leadership because nothing is of the quality...

Went to see Delta Haze play at the Eats and Beats at Evergy Plaza last night. They are one of the better bands I have heard playing there. Even though the weather was Hot- there were a lot of people there enjoying themselves. The food there was awesome . I had a burrito and I do have to say that it was Great. Also just wanted to let you know that the female singer for Delta Haze announced that Ashley was leaving. Ashley will be missed. I hope whoever takes her place does half the job she did. ...
