Club Pilates — Local services in Torrance

The instructors are wonderful, but if you pay for the "unlimited membership" be aware that classes are very full with very long waitlist. For the months of January and February I was charged for my "unlimited membership" and was unable to attend any classes because of how overbooked they all were. The waitlist did not open up. Which is what their general manager kept telling me was a solution to my problem. So Club Pilates is very comfortable selling and charging people for "unlimited memberships" when in reality they can not accommodate the paying customers they already have. I have added pictures for reference. Before deciding to agree to this unlimited membership, I spoke with a team member and asked her if classes being overbooked was ever an issue. She reassured me that they are only consistently booked on the weekends. I was fine to make it to weekday classes. As you will see from these pictures, all classes were booked all the time in Jan and Feb. The fact that Club Pilates is comfortable charging people when they have NO CLASSES for them to attend in order to use their unlimited membership is not only fraud, but also it is false advertising. Very disappointed about the customer service experience provided by Christen. Have to cancel my membership before even starting. Just sing up for the classes at the beginning of the year, paid upfront. The opening was postponed a few times, which is understandable. I contacted Christen a multiple times and she told me that they will send a notification couple weeks prior opening. None of the text came from her after the payment got processed. I keep checking every two weeks for an updates - opening is at the end of March. 2 days before opening I received an advertisement asking me to sing up, again, no text/call/email from her. After me sending her a text again, she finally called me, trying to help to set up my login (she couldn’t enter my email address correctly) blaming on me that created a “multiple accounts” that’s now she needs to deal with IT department. There are so many Pilates gyms in the south bay I highly recommend any other location. I've only been able to attend a handful of classes because all of the classes are booked weeks in advance. 1 tried cancelling my membership due to this reason. Prior to signing up, I was told that my membership would be risk-free and that I can cancel at any time if it's not a right fit. I was then told surprise you can't, there's a 3 month commitment we lied about and there's a $100 cancellation fee. Additionally, the one class I was able to attend was very very disappointing, not at all what a Pilates workout should be. Additionally, the manager of this studio, Alison, is extremely unprofessional. I have tried reaching out several times via email to get an update of the status of my account and have not heard back.
