I went into this store to buy a single beer and was treated so disrespectfully and rudely by the employee. When we approached the store she was smoking a cigarette outside the store as we entered.

So we entered as she was holding the door and I said thank you and she didn't even respond. She ignored me completely. Then she stared at my son and I intensely the entire two minutes we were in the store.

It certainly felt like this employee was focused on my race and treated me accordingly. She stared at my mohawk in disgust and the tattoos my son and I had. Then her insults, disrespect, and blatant attempt at using the power dynamic she possessed soon followed.

I am a 48 year old man who bought a single beer and handed it to my son temporarily who is 21 years old just so I could put my wallet in my pants. I attempted taking the beer back two seconds later when she began started screaming at me and demanding my son to her ID. She started insinuating and accusing me of buying the beer for my son which was simply not true. I explained to her I bought the single beer for myself and just asked my son to hold it for a second while I put my wallet back into my pants.

Her constant screaming without listening was a serious issue. She then screamed into my face that she can refuse a sale to any damn customer she wants to.

My son had even bought liquor in that store just the night before and showed his ID. He bought two Jim beam nippers at 730 PM on 01/11/24. He has also bought liquor in that store probably a dozen times in just the last few months.

So the tantrum thrown by this woman was truly a spectacle to behold. The beer I bought was not for my son and he was only told to hold it for me while I put my wallet back in my pants. I tried explaining this to her but her screaming was constant and extremely loud.

So the employee continuing screaming at my son and I and threatened to call the police on us. She grabbed the phone as an attempt to scare us and intimidate us. I continued to be calm and tell her behavior is uncalled for. I don't think she ever wanted me in the store in the first place. So she used the most ridiculous excuse she could find to demean me publicly and be condescending to me at the same time.

I have never been treated in such a disrespectful and humiliating manner in my entire life. I urge the owner of this store and anybody else reading this to read all of my other reviews of other businesses I have dealt with. You will not find one negative review I have ever written. They have all been extremely positive reviews and thanking the businesses for the service I received from them. That speaks volumes of my character and the type of person I am. So for me to take the time to write this extremely negative review can only tell the owner that I am being truthful.

Then as we left she stood outside the store staring at us as we got into my car as we proceeded to leave smoking another cigarette. I called this business the second I got home to explain to her I have never been treated like that in my entire life and that I would like the owner's phone number. She started screaming at me again and wouldn't even let me finish speaking, She then hung up on me. I called back and she hung up on me again after screaming the owner works during the day.

I have to add that my son and I eat probably five nights a week at the plaza this liquor store is located. I am very aware of this employee because she is always outside the store chain smoking cigarettes for the entire hour my son and I are eating. We can see her from our window in the restaurant. She only goes in the store once a customer approaches.

So I am going to talk to the owner of this store. The only reason i can come up with why this employee treated my son and I the way she did would be because of our race and the way we looked. Racism is unacceptable. I can't think of another reason as to why she would have treated us in the manner she did. I was kind to her, extremely professional, and remained calm. She was looking for a reason to demean me...

Excellent selection and service. They always offer assistance. Really good selection of wines and craft beers. They also have "make your own 6 pack for 10 dollars," where you can mix and match beers. They'll even open up a case or 12-pack if you want one for your custom six pack. Also, if they don't carry what you're looking for, they will order it and have it in within a week. Tried to return some enfamil thars expired head manager Angel said he can’t take it back. Have to find another option for baby products maybe back to Walgreens who didn’t have a problem with a previous expired item....
