Same five kids always get picked for leads and only the kids whose parents pay big money are allowed to do practically anything. To do a show you use to have to take one lesson (vocal, dance, ect) but after the group of rich kids stopped showing up they changed it to multiple lessons and decided that vocal lessons don’t count to be able to do a show anymore. Anyone who doesn’t have a rich parent who can just throw their money to the theater to get their kid whatever they want is reprimanded and not alowwed to do shows if they don’t take the right lessons for almost 200 dollars. Doesn’t matter if your kid is good or not as long as you have money. They punish those who are poor by threatening to take them out of the show god forbid one of the rich kids has a problem with them or is speaking. The favorite picking is horrendous, they never give other kids chances and only ever pick the same five people. The only time they’d ever have a lead actor that was black was during their smaller shows during the summer that only parents would see to. Anytime I did a show it’s was the same five white kids but if the camp was doing a show then they would put one singular person do color as lead since that’s the only show where only parents show up. Honestly a disgrace, last time someone spoke up about this unfair treatment to the lady that ran the place they kicked all of their kids out of the shows and wouldn’t allow them to...
Read moreBe careful if you want to go here. Parking is horrendous. They claim to have 1700 people in attendance but provide less parking than a dive bar. It’s all street parking or public, no garages. It’s tight, can barely drive down the street with everyone circling looking for a parking spot. Am I supposed to park illegal at another business when I clearly can see a plaque from the police for ‘appreciation’? C’mon
Their policy is no refunds. It’s not what I would call “conspicuous” as it’s buried in their purchase agreement. If you call and ask for a refund they flat out refuse and don’t offer any other accommodations. They just take your money. When you politely ask, they’re rude about it. Which causes me to be rude about it, not my intention going in. It took 3 calls, 2 messages and a voicemail to get confirmation they don’t care about screwing the general public out of their hard-earned money.
So, if you want to go here. get there early. Sleep in your car, on the street, camp overnight or one of the only two hotels in the area.
Since they know they’re going to steal from you, they try and CYA with their ‘no refund’ policy. You can always dispute it with your bank for a merchant that doesn’t deliver goods or services you paid for, no matter what their policy is.
Hey Warner Theater, way to make a first impression. I’ll never come back and ensure my friends don’t either.
UPDATE: less than 48 hours later, I got...
Read moreI'm very disappointed with the Executive Office at the Waner. Maddy that works in the office is very rude, and does not return calls when she says she will do so. My daughter is handicapped and she ordered tickets for the upcoming Theresa Caputo show on April 6th. There were no options for handicapped seating from the Warner ticket site and my daughter ended up purchasing them from another site that did not have handicapped seating options. Maddy in the Executive Office, said because they were purchased through a third party that she spoke to her boss, I'm assuming the Executive director, there and he said there is nothing they can do, but they do have handicapped seats still available, so we could purchase new tickets from them. Now my daughter is out over two hundred dollars and we can't see the show. Maddy should take in consideration before her attitude on the phone that we were going to the Theresa Caputo, show due to a loss of my son, my daughters brother, and hoping for some peace of mind. Shame on the Warner for making money on third party tickets, and then not be willing to help resolve an issue that can easily be resolved. Kind...
