Delight Cuisine — Restaurant in Torrington

Listen, you came here wanting a review so I’m going to give you honesty. This is the BEST Indian food in Litchfield county and there is NO COMPETITION! I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Harlic and Cheese Naan and let me tell you, it FLOORS even other genres of food in Torrington. The chicken was moist and properly portioned, the sauce was magnificent and takes your taste buds to a different world, the rice was exactly where it needed to be in texture and flavor. Oh and let’s talk about the Naan, aka the garlic flavor blast of perfection. I came here PRAYING it would be good because Torrington has a lack of culture and actual good food that’s more that just okay, and what I was met with was PERFECTION. The service was amazing and staff was so kind, the environment is exactly what this place needs to be, the music is inviting, and again the food takes you to a different place. You bet that this is gonna be my spot for a VERY VERY long time. This is the culture that Torrington needs, and this is the food YOU need. Delight is a charming Indian and Sri Lankan restaurant that truly lives up to its name. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. The service is above and beyond. To start, the Sweet Corn Veg & Chicken Soup is a delightful blend of flavors, with tender pieces of chicken and a subtle sweetness from the corn.

The Tandoori Chicken Wings are a must-try! Marinated to perfection, they are smoky and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice.

For the main course, the Lamb Curry was more then exceptional. The lamb is tender, simmered in a rich, aromatic sauce that balances spices beautifully. The Chicken Tikka Masala was another standout dish. The chicken is succulent, enveloped in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce that was both comforting and delicious. Both paired well with the Garlic naan or the rice.

I just tried Delight for the first time and the food and service are exceptional. The Vegetable Samosa were fried perfectly and the filling was flavorful. I couldn't get enough of the Chicken Manchurian. I have never had it before but I will certainly get it next time as well. The Tandoori Chicken Kebab is huge and had a wonderful char. Butter Chicken was exceptional and is a perfect dish for someone who is not familiar with Indian food and is looking to start getting into the flavors. Finally, the Shrimp Biryani, the rice was cooked perfectly. It might sound silly to be so impressed by the cook on the rice however if its not made well, it destroys the whole dish. The shrimp was fesh and seasoned to perfection. The prices are extremely reasonable for such fresh food and the portions are great.
