Harbor Freight — Local services in Town of Allegany

Double charged my account $1013.00 and refused to refund me or offer any sort of remorse or accountability for their actions. Placed the blame onto me and said if i wanted to do something about this i would need to take it up with my bank. The store manager Liz was blatantly rude and in dire need of customer service care training as she only escalated an already upsetting experience. She said she called the district manager and that they couldn't do anything about the charge and that it happens all the time and the bank will handle it. I contacted customer service and upon more digging further with their card authorization department found that INDEED they did charge my account two times and will file with the district manager contact me and they will work on issuing the refund. This whole experience was based off of the irresponsibility of the employees i interacted with. My husband and i are long time customers of harbor freight and are extremely disappointed. To make a mistake and then deflect the fault onto the paying customer rather than the company is unacceptable. We are filing with the better business bureau as well as the Attorney General. Had we not done the leg work to get this cleared harbor freight would have stolen over $1000 dollars from us. Do yourself a favor and remove the risk of irresponsible incompetent employees who don't have to answer for their mistakes and shop small with a local hardware...

Say 100% satisfaction guaranteed yet gave me a hard time trying to exchange a brand new tire I had purchased which turned out to have a hole in tube. Cashier told me not be smart because I told her I would buy a new one and use that receipt to return. She was more than rude. I never questioned her or complained, I just solved the problem myself. I love it! Great deals. Know what to expect from certain items, and you'll never be let down. We purchase SO MANY items here, but my favorite would be the Atlas brand electric yard tools, really good welding wire for the cost, and solar panels. We also have gotten two smaller ZXR winches from here, and have had no issues thus far.
