Since I bought my house I choose home depot for my project aid. I even went as far as to get a home depot credit card. Ive spent $3,900 + my own cash for a vouple thousand in the last year only to be treated like scum from employees. Most of the staff in general is good to work with in Olean N.Y. location. However their are a few bad apples in the pie. I purchased a $3400 pellet furnace. It was delivered to the store with dents/damage. The store was only willing to take $100 off. Then I have bought all my pellets so far this winter from the Olean location. I was given an attitude from the cashier because I asked if they had any of the planers I was looking for in stock. She was in an apparent hurry to cash me out (I was the only one there at 7:30am) then when I tried to explain that they needed the extention lift to load the pellets on my trailer because the regular one won't work. I was given further attitude! I drove to the back lot where I waited 15min and no one showed up to load me. So i thought maybe I was in the wrong lot and went in to customer service where I was met with further attitude from another cashier. Finally someone came to load me (we're 25min at this point) the guy that came to load me brought the regular fork lift. The fork lift driver gave me attitude because I wanted the weight OVER THE AXLES OF MY TRAILER, NOT ON THE TOUNGE OF THE TRAILER! So I drove back up to the check out side of the building. At this point I am very irritated because I'm at 35min with 3 attitudes from employees!!! I walk into the contractor check out and asked if I could get someone to operate the extention lift BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I NEED and I'm at 40min now! The same cashier from the beginning of this story greeted me with a sarcastic "you'll be fine" and walked away from me as I stood there still trying to get my trailer loaded!!!!! Finally an older gentleman came over to me and said he would help me! Told me exactly where he wanted me to park. Loaded my trailer in just a short minute and I was on my way after 50min to get one pallet of pellets loaded...
Read moreThis store has a problem with leadership. Both the front end manager and the GM need to fired and replaced immediately so they can clear out their dumpster fire of bad attitudes on the front end. You will never encounter a group of nastier, self-centered, overtly rude feminist personalities on the front end of any Home Depot store than what they've assembled here. These people on the front end make it a point to tell you every way they can imagine that they cannot help you rather than explore options in ways they can. My pregnant wife and I tried speaking with this front end about renting their pick up and they told us it was stolen two years ago and never replaced. I expressed our frustration that things were never that bad over my six years with the company, to which the other service desk associate butted-in shouting, "Ive been here for years I never saw you." I had to explain to her the Home Depot is a national chain, but my point is this: Is this customer service, or are you paid to act like customer interrogation? Either way, they had no solution on their tongue to help us. And the openly threatening way some of those female associates at the desk were acting would be construed as assault in the street. The only reason I give this store one star is because some of the associates on the floor have been incredibly helpful, despite what an absolute mess their inventory is. We tried scheduling a delivery but were told they don't do anything they advertise: they don't do installation, and they don't do haul away (which is advertised with a fee). Like I said, this store is a dumpster fire of bad attitudes. More than one associate has told us, "I just clock in, do my hours and clock out." The front end ASM and GM need to fired and replaced...
Read moreThey are nice to you when they sell you something but if said appliance comes broken as mine did, they could care less about helping you. I bought a brand new washer and dryer and didn't use it right away due to being out of town. First time I used it, it leaked all over the floor. After making sure it was properly hooked up, I ran it again and it leaked yet again, confirming it was the washer itself. I called Home Depot right away and they promised me a call back no later than next morning. A call never came. I called them at 12:30 and "we were just about to call you" just to be told that they need to send a third party to do a service call since I exceeded the "48 hour refusal window". So they actually expect you to do a load of wash while the delivery guy waits in order for you to determine if both the washer and dryer work? I think paying $1600+ should be reason enough to honor providing your customer with a WORKING appliance out of the box. They also lied and told me the company who would do the service call could recommend replacement which was yet another lie they tell you because the service company told me they only tell you that so you don't complain to them but they expect them to fix only. They don't take recommendations. So basically they sell you a refurbished washer at the price of brand new and have no customer service concern for you whatsoever once they have your money. I will be telling everyone I know NOT to go to Home Depot, especially this location, if this is the standard way you are treated and pushed aside. You should be ashamed...
