Parkside Candy — Local services in Town of Amherst

As a virtually life-long resident of the Village of WIlliasmville, Parkside Candy is an outstanding and most welcome enhancement to the Village of Williamsville / Main Street Business District. It's upscale with demonstrated pedigree, and none of the absurd self-importance of some of the newer tenants here. A Buffalo institution, Parkside Candy Chocolate quality has stood the test of time.

I have been shopping at this store since it opened, and it is an extremely nice shop. The customer service is excellent as well, with the woman who I typically deal with welcoming, congenial, and helpful without being in the slightest way obnoxious or irritating. The lady behind the counter was blowing her nose when I walked in. I noticed she (still not wearing her mask or stopping to wash her hands) proceeded to sort and pack candies while I walked around selecting some chocolates. She then answered the phone and talked for a few minutes, sans mask, with uncovered chocolates in front of her. When she finished on the phone, I asked her why she wasn’t wearing her mask; she tried telling me it was “only when I’m on the phone.”

Pretty unsanitary and reckless during this pandemic. Are there not laws/regs about this?? It’s scary to know that some people in the food industry couldn’t care less about the health of...

Weird experience. They didn't know what time it was because the huge clock behind the register wasn't working. I wanted to buy a cookie sandwich but how could I? The POS wasn't working either.
