If you go in ask for Josa or don't bother. My daughter and I came in 100% set to buy. The three young helpers changed that for us almost immediately. 1) Josa had us pull dresses and put them on a main rack for ourselves...right before she was going to take us to a dressing room she transferred them to a rolling rack and asked us to take a seat...when we did another girl began to put them back on store racks...when I saw her and politely stopped her she lectured me on them having a system and why did I put them on rolling rack, etc. So I moved on.... 2) While I was waiting for our turn I looked at gowns on the non-prom side of store and was asked (by same girl who I'd been dealing with) "Mother-of-the-bride or prom?" (Obviously we'd been there for prom). I said "Prom." and was told to go back to the other side of store...ooookkkay. 3) When my daughter DID get a room I was not allowed in (as my daughter wanted us to look at dresses privately and not on display). 4) When my daugher ASKED for my opinion she was quickly told by our long silver-haired helper that "it's YOUR prom, YOUR day....it's not for her (her mother) to decide." Ummm---hello.....I'm the one dropping the cash. Dresses START at $350-$400. 5) My daughter was told REPEATEDLY by both sales girls (silver-haired girl & denim jacket girl) that she needed to lose weight!! "That would look better if you lost 5 or 6 pounds.....Oh yea she's right it would look better if you lost a little weight." (Side note, my daughter is a size 4-6...NOT that it should matter!!!!!) 6)After my daughter trying on a dress with a flowered top I didn't care for...the sales girl took the other flowered patterned dress we were going to try on to put back in store...I stopped her and she said "If you don't like that flowered dress you won't like this...it has flowers." I said it was a different style and pattern and I got a "yeah! um-hum" teenage under-the-breath attitude and eyeroll. 7)When she brought us a $600 dress and I said I liked the lines but didn't need all the detail, I thought it drove the price up...more eyerolls and told about layaway so I could afford it. There's more....but basically my daughter gave me the "outta here" signal and we left without even trying on the ones we really liked. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY YOUNG SNOTTY RUDE ITS-NOT-FOR-YOUR-MOTHER-TO-SAY GIRLS. Ohhhhh yes it is dear!!!! Wish we could have gotten the mature women...might have...
Read moreThis was the first place I went shopping for a dress for my senior prom. I had an idea of the style I wanted, so the woman helping me pulled some dresses in that style (I don’t remember her name, and I guess after reading the reviews on here I should consider myself lucky for having someone help me at all). After trying on a few of these dresses and showing them to my grandma who had come with me, I had found one I absolutely loved and was intent on buying that day. However, the older woman who was helping me made comments to my face about how my chest was far too small and the dress would never work on me. I guess it doesn’t matter what kind of body type you have, curvy or skinny these women will find SOMETHING to nail you for. Now as a teenager who had self esteem issues because of this, it felt like a slap in the face. Who is this woman to make that kind of comment to my face like I don’t already KNOW I’m basically flat-chested? Why would you ever make snide comments about someone’s body if you’re trying to sell them a dress? I never felt so disrespected by any employee in my life. Needless to say I left the store with no dress and fighting back tears.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a special occasion dress, unless you want rude comments made about your body no matter what you look...
Read moreMy daughter put a $550 prom dress on layaway in February. She put down $100. I called the shop and explained I would need time to pay for it and they were fine with it. I called in 2 payments. When I called about the time frame for the balance to be paid (it took some time to save for this dress...) and the fitting which could not be done until the dress was paid, I was told the first week of May would be fine and enough time for alterations for the May 21st prom....well today we enter the store for the alterations and a woman in the back yelled out "you bought this dress in February and you are only giving us 2 weeks..do you see how many dresses are here!" My daughter got so upset. Of course we would have come sooner and paid the balance sooner if we were told it wasn't enough time for alterations. I was made to feel like we were not good enough because we put the dress on layaway and supposedly waited too long....this woman carried on and on and I unfortunately lost my cool and shouted "next time make sure when someone gives you a date to have alterations s by you abide by that.." I paid for the...
