Atmosphere was great, zero complaints with that. The patio is AMAZING, come early to guarantee a spot since they didn't seem to do reservations. 5/5 Service was great, Alexa was very attentive and made sure we got all the brunchy refills we wanted. 5/5 A few things we didn't really enjoy and the reason for the drop in star: First, the French toast portion was laughably small; insulting, honestly. For a $16 single piece of bread that's been cut in half with mediocre toppings, it better be dusted with an ounce of gold to justify that amount. It was seriously the saddest excuse for a sweet brunch entrée portion I have seen in a while. We'd NEVER have ordered it if we knew it looked so pathetic and was so unsubstantial. Second, the garlic fries were underseasoned. Not even any pepper or salt added? Just tasted like garlic and butter/oil - unsalted butter (if that). If people are ordering french fries and not expecting salt, that's too bad for them or they can request it be left off special for them. This is an easy fix, or maybe we got a bad couple batches. Finally, my great issue with the pickles on the burger. The burger itself was AWESOME. I even got a fried egg on top and it was beautiful. What I cannot let slide is the choice of putting SWEET pickles on my burger without my request. I am going to start calling myself the Picky Pickle Eater, because I will drop every restaurant down a peg (and be loud about it) that serves me a sweet pickle as the base choice for a sandwich (hamburger, chicken, deli) condiment. Sweet pickles have no place on sandwiches as a baseline (yes, SOME people have different tastes, but they are outliers, otherwise McDonalds/BK/Wendy's/Smashburger/Shake Shack/Five Guys/Chick-fil-a would have sweet pickles on their sandwiches, but GUESS WHAT, they DON'T) and every WNY restaurant that tries this sweet pickle nonsense should be putting a disclaimer somewhere obvious on the menu so I know the trash you are threatening to put on or near my food. Dill pickles should be the standard offering on any sandwich that you have a pickle on, like every other national burger/sandwich chain. Sweet pickles should be by request only or put straight in the trash where...
Read moreI went here for lunch with a friend. The food is delicious, however, the service is disgusting. From The moment our waiter, Joe B, approached our table, I could tell he had an attitude. He took our orders and then when I asked him “do you mind if I order a daiquiri” he replied “I do but I could get you one”. Things seem to Escalate when it was time for our bill. We asked if we could do separate checks In which he replied “I would need to know beforehand to do that” yet he never asked us. We said no problem and just asked to split the bill on 2 cards. In reviewing my bill I noticed he added an extra drink on our tab that we did not order. I asked him if he could correct HIS mistake and bring a new receipt in which he told me “Its fine I’ll just fix it up front when I run the cards”. Yet when I got my card and copy of the receipt back, he hadn’t fixed the mistake and charged us for the mistake. It turns out he added the table behind us’ drink on our tab. I could hear him being very nice about the mistake to that group of women, however was very abrasive to us patrons who were inconvenienced by his error. He then asked who had the “red card” then walked away and when he came back said “it’s fixed”. But when I tried to clarify who’s card he put the refund on because I was the person with the extra drink, and I didn’t have the “red card”, he was very rude about it and said “ I put it on the right one, it didn’t matter whose was whose I just needed to know the name of 1 card”. At this point I wanted to speak to a manager but I felt very uncomfortable because he proceeded to stand over us at the table while we gathered his tip. After that treatment, I really didn’t want to give him anything. After reading other reviews for this establishment, it seems like others have had issues with Joe B, especially when ordering alcoholic beverages, yet he still works here. If he has such an issue with alcohol, maybe he should not be your front line staff, that way he can keep his judgements to himself. He turned a great experience into a bad one. Which is such a shame because the food and environment is so pleasant but Joe B’s pessimism...
Read moreFirst and last visit. Britesmith I wanted to like you. I really did. The beer was average, not much to write home about. (We orderd every beer, 2 and half flights). I wanted to try the food. I was ready to order 2 pizzas. We sat down, waited 10 minutes before our waitress JK came to the table. Mind you they were not busy. We explained we wanted 2 flights and to try all the beer. We were sitting and chatting and noticed the bar tenders were just cleaning glasses and we thought "did she not put our order in?". I noticed our waitress taking multiple photos of the table behind us. It took 20 minutes before she came back to our table and proceeded to ask us what we wanted to drink. I was speechless. My husband reordered our drinks, and then we contemplated walking out. We stayed, but maybe we shouldn't have. Eventually she brought out a beer and then our 2 flights. Finally we were asked if we would like anything else. Since we have to order food with drinks, but also upset and underwhelmed by the service, we ordered the pretzels. We drank our beer, eventually received and ate our pretzels, paid and left. I felt discriminated due to my age and not potentially being a good tipper. My waitress spent most of her time catering to the older customers. She went to their tables 3 times as much as mine. I only saw my waitress 3 times. When she came to have us pay, she did it right at the table. It was very uncomfortable. We still had drinks and some pretzels left and we were expected to pay and tip with our waitress breathing down our necks. My husband left more than we should have because she was watching. Overall, the food i couldn't really try, the beer was ordinary and the service was downright foul. We will not be going back and will be telling our friends and family about our experience. Its sad that I left a restaurant and had to grab fast food. ...
