As a home builder, remodeler, and commercial general contractor with over 40 years in the business, I consider myself eminently qualified to say Express Kitchens has provided outstanding quality and service to my customers, my referrals, and myself at very competitive pricing. We have completed hundreds of jobs together over the past 20 or so years with very few issues. When issues inevitably were to arise, they were attended to promptly and professionally. Custom, i.e., built-to-suite cabinets? Do shop elsewhere; but be prepared to pay a premium of 2-500%. If that fits your budget and, great; but you’d be comparing Cadillac to Bugatti. Both fine products, but oh the price. For stone tops, you’ll be very hard pressed to find a more well-chosen and capable facility. FYI, when you shop at most “stone yards” on Long Island where you would typically select your slabs, they are run by middlemen who don’t fabricate. Express stocks, fabricates, and installs their own products thereby eliminating the finger pointing when too many cooks share the kitchen. My advice; turn off HGTV. Ditch the DIY approach. Hire and expert; be it architect, decorator, or reputable contractor, and let yourselves be guided by their expertise. You will save money and headaches. Oh yeah, and patronize Express Kitchens . . .

Renovated our den, and our contractor had the cabinets and countertop manufactured by Express Kitchen. The countertop is 13 feet long, so they had to make 2 separate pieces. If I don’t show you where the seam is, you won’t find it - they did a fantastic job merging the 2 pieces together. My den floor is not level, so they added a small moulding to the bottom of the cabinets, hiding the gaps. I highly recommend them.

BE FOREWARNED........ DO NOT use this company. I ordered granite from John. 5 days after my granite was installed there were green blotches coming thru at the seems. When I called and questioned this, John said he'd never seen this and sent two guys over to look at it. In the meantime when I looked online as to why this happens I found out that it was because the installers used too much adhesive/glue at the seems. This was not my doing and I felt John should fix this since it was the sloppy work of his employees. Well, they came over and after 2 and a Half hours of using chemical after chemical...all they managed to do was paint some taupe cement over it. Leaving me with still some green spots and now my granite looking like it was "painted". When I questioned that these guys have now ruined the beautiful streaks and spots on the granite, Johns response was they use this stuff all the time and that is all he will do. If you want good customer service DO NOT USE...

Horrible experience. Waited well over a month to have them come install. When they finally came, numerous issues with the way they designed and installed the granite counter top. (Measurements off, no support in a couple of places due to the way they designed it, seams were raised and visible). When asked for rep to come look at the job that was done so far, they said they would but I had to pay 90% of money I owed because the job was almost completed. When I wouldn't pay that much, they had the workers rip out the granite they had already installed. By doing this, they damaged my brickwork and they basically said sorry but nothing they could do about the damage. Ended up refunding all of my money and I found a reliable company to complete the work. Will have to take to court to seek money for damage that they caused. Price was good, but I guess you get what...
