The Crushed Olive Babylon — Local services in Town of Babylon

I was excited to find this store so close to where I live. Went back three times around the holidays to buy their flavored goodies. The first time I was the only one in the store and the nice lady who assisted me seemed to be new and although she tried to help me she struck me as not very knowledgeable about the products. The second time I was looking forward to buying more flavors but although there were three ladies at the counter no one approached me to assist and when I asked questions they made sure to project that they were very busy with more important tasks. Their lack of attention did not discourage me and I went back a third time a week before Christmas to buy at least six gifts and more flavored goodies for my wife and me. There were three customers browsing and two people at the counter. I asked if I could buy the Christmas packages with specific flavors and immediately was told that they were too busy and did not have the time to wrap them up. It happened that the flavors that I wanted were already packaged and I ended it buying the six gifts but the older lady especially, made it so apparent that my request had been very "unreasonable" during their busy time that I decided not to continue shopping for myself and left as quickly as possible. I would give them more stars for their products but only 1 star for customer service. It is important to note that the three times I went to were on weekdays in the middle of the day and that last time I went afterwards to a specialty grocery store in another town that made me feel like an important customer from the moment I walked in. Very nice small shop in the heart of Babylon Village with a huge selection of amazing flavors of balsamic vinegars in stainless steel tanks with spigots. Tiny sample cups are provided. While attending the Babylon Village Fall Festival, my wife and I finally stopped in to The Crushed Olive. Pleasantly surprised. Vats of different Olive Oils, Vinegars, Tappenades and honeys. She really enjoyed the Olive Oil with Garlic as well as the Honey with ginger. We purchased small bottles, to cook with at home. The salesperson was not the warmest person in the world but packaged our items beautifully. All in all, we will definetely be returning, especially with the holidays...
