IHOP — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Service here is always above and beyond whether it’s breakfast or dinner. ihop has good burgers so I go there sometimes for dinner. I’m always shocked at how good ihop makes their burgers. I’ve been to the same location for breakfast too. No matter who my server is I always have a pleasant experience. Shoutout to Eden for helping me and my mom out tonight. She was amazing. I’m always impressed by how great the service is at this ihop. It’s my go to location on Long Island. I always look forward to coming to this location. Every employee here really sets the standard for how things should be done at every ihop location. I always leave with a smile on my face and I always order with confidence knowing everything will be done right. Eden truly made me and my mom’s night a wonderful experience. I am not a breakfast person. But sometimes I just want a hearty omelette. New Year’s Day was a cold windy one at my East Patchogue home. After running some errands I felt the need to have a chicken fajita omelette that is primarily the thing that makes me drive to an IHOP. There hadn’t one in Patchogue for ages so I decided to go to the only nearby option in Ronkonkoma. To ensure they were opened I asked my Copilot to call the nearest IHOP. It was about 6:30 pm (on New Year’s Day as I mentioned). As the person answered the call with the usual IHOP greeting and said they were open, I almost missed something. I asked, “Did you say IIHOP Patchogue? Is this a new location?” He said, yes, they had just opened at Thanksgiving. I had a family outing at IHOP on a Sunday, and while the atmosphere was pleasant and the food was great, my experience was unfortunately ruined by what I overheard. I was seated near the kitchen entrance and could hear the manager loudly yelling at her staff, which made the whole meal uncomfortable. It was disturbing to witness the mistreatment of employees, especially since they all seemed visibly uncomfortable and afraid. The manager's behavior was unprofessional and unsettling she definitely shouldn’t be in a leadership role if she treats people like that.
